Lovely cottage near Stonehenge

Sherrington Stables is on the edge of the enchanting hamlet of Sherrington with its picturesque watercress beds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is a delightful, well equipped, single storey cottage which makes a charming and relaxing retreat. There is one bedroom with a queen size (5 foot) bed and the living room has an imported American (Castro Convertibles) queen size sofa bed. Ideally suited for a couple, or a couple with two children, or two couples as long as one couple are happy with the sofa bed. Peacefully set in the grounds of the owner's three hundred year old thatched farmhouse, it has wonderful walks right from the door.

The cottage sleeps four, 1 large master bedroom with a super kingsize bed and a small bedroom with adult bunks (plus a guest bed for a fifth guest). Well behaved dogs are welcome! Beautifully furnished, romantic and spacious ancient dovecote in a gorgeous peaceful countryside setting, the thick stone walls make it warm and cosy in winter, cool in summer as well as quiet and private. Private heated swimming pool available in summer. Upstairs there is a luxurious super kingsize bed, a rolltop bath, a huge velvet sofa and a 50" TV and downstairs is a shower room, kitchen and large dining area. A tranquil place in beautiful countryside. This Shepherds Hut, in its own garden, is overlooking a meadow. Designed for relaxation, many quirky furnishings are made by the craftsman owners. This rural region is an under-appreciated delight. Ideal for walking, cycling, painting, historic houses, gardens, Messums Gallery and Wardour castle. Wonderful selection of pubs locally, a choice for each night’s stay. Breakfast is laid out in the orangery, all home made (told it is “scoffable”).
