This expertly refurbished 19th-century Coach House is full of character and all ready for your luxurious relaxing break. The open-plan living area has a exceptional view, and when you want a change there's a large smart TV and good-quality broadband for entertainment. The kitchen comes with induction hob and oven, dishwasher and washing machine, as well as all the pots, pans & utensils you need for cooking up delicious meals. The shower room/toilet is conveniently tucked away in a corner. Walk up the distinctive oak staircase to find the upstairs bedroom, with its impressive round window. It sleeps up to three people in a kingsize double bed and a separate single, and there's also room for a travel cot for an infant.The Coach House is ideal for a couple on a romantic escape, or for a family with young children looking for a safe space to relax and play. Parking for 2 cars. En suite has a shower, toilet & a small sink. Great for exploring the Wye Valley, river pubs, biking, walking, or for doing absolutely nothing. River sports below at Ye Old Ferrie Inn, where the food & setting is exceptional. Sundays available for 2 night bookings. Sorry, no dogs.

This stylish space is located half way up Symonds Yat Rock. For those who love walking park your car up and don’t get in it again until it’s time to leave. Turn left out of the gates and you are on the footpath down to “The Chalet” which has been used for filming on the Netflix series Sex Education. Carry on down the footpath and you are straight onto the Peregrine walk or cross the river and access the Wye Valley walk. Enjoy excellent food at the Saracens Head sat overlooking the river Wye.

Pat's Flat - peaceful stay on a beautiful farm.

Pat's Flat: a converted Pig Barn located on a peaceful farm, within the beautiful Wye Valley AONB. The historic towns of Monmouth and Ross on Wye, the river and Forest of Dean with their outdoor leisure activities - canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, biking - are easily accessible. A couple of pubs, eateries and village shop are within a few miles walk. Sorry - no pets - this is a working farm and there are friendly Labradors in the adjoining property who are likely to come and say hello.

This was a beautiful and comfortable lodge with thoughtful touches to make us welcome. There was helpful information provided both about the lodge and the local area - useful without being overwhelming. We appreciated that towels were provided for the hot tub use as well as the bathroom. We would recommend this lodge without hesitation!

Secret Escape to the Forest

What a fabulous Bolthole this was. It exceeded expectations. Set right on the border of England & Wales, in beautiful surroundings. We had the chance to explore the Forest of Dean through a little secret gateway on the premises. The hut itself was beautifully designed, with a lively en suite shower room with piping hot water. The bed was very comfy and it felt incredibly cosy. There are two hot tubs right by the huts for you to use. It was a little nippy for us but would definitely book them if we returned. There is also a log burning fire inside the hut which was so lovely to have in the evening as it got cooler. If you fancy a bbq, bring along some coals as there is a mini BBQ available for each hut too. We spent a few hours in the local pub, just 5 mins walk up the hill, great food and service. Finally the morning after, we headed into the local town to the coffee shop for a fabulous breakfast run by the family here. All in all a very pleasant stay! Would recommend! Thanks

Stunning cabin visited with my best friend for our 40th . I will be back with my husband gorgeous location. Highly recommend if you are a Walker or enjoy trail running. Incredibly well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you could possibly need. Really amazing space and location. We had a wonderful time.

Fabulous place to stay, home is beautifully sited in the middle of the back of beyond, with amazing views across the hills. Has a pretty little garden with lovely seating area and large French doors to bring the outdoors in. Beds are comfortable and plenty of options for air flow when the weather is warm. Can also recommend the chippy in Mitcheldean.

We enjoyed our short stay at Bramble Cottage. There was plenty of space for the three of us and all the facilities we needed. We spent the weekend mountain biking in the forest and the location is perfect - less than 10mins drive. A few pubs serving food within walking distance - we ate out at the New Standish on Saturday which was pleasant and friendly.
