We are located in the heart of the Ruhr area. Behind the house are several allotment garden associations that lead to the Rhine-Herne Canal. Shops for everyday needs and public transport are within walking distance. The A42 can be reached in 2 minutes by car. The location is very central and the Herner city center as well as Recklinghausen, Castrop-Rauxel, Dortmund and Bochum are within easy reach. The apartment with 42 sqm is for your own use and is located in an apartment building in a busy 30 km/h zone.

The Duisburg houseboat Lore in the heart of the city

Our small 13 meter long houseboat Lore is located in the inner harbor of Duisburg, 3 minutes from the city center in one of the trendiest areas of the city: the inner harbour. The Lore has two spacious bedrooms, a roof terrace with lounge furniture, a small covered terrace, a living room with a direct view of the water, a kitchen and of course a bathroom with shower and toilet. The Lore is winter festival and can be booked 365 days a year. We have had three boats in the harbor since 2025.

Close to Ruhr-University and nearby Mark 51 you can find a peaceful home with small kitchen, bathroom (with shower) and Nespresso coffee maker. You can work from this place as well as enjoy some Roku tv with Disney+ and Amazon. To get downtown you can use the bus stop in front of the house or walk to the next underground within 10-15 min. Free parking lots are in front of the house. Our entry door is protected with Ring system which also takes a video of anyone close to door.

A bright, lovingly furnished attic apartment (2nd floor) in an old Steigerhaus (former foreman’s house from the mining era) – once part of a mining site, now surrounded by woods and meadows. A cozy home away from home for up to two people. The apartment is accessible via a comfortably wide spiral staircase. If you don’t like dogs, this isn’t the right place for you – they’re part of our family. That’s why dogs are, of course, very welcome in our holiday apartment.

Our spacious and light-flooded apartment offers the perfect starting point for the Veltins Arena (3.2 km) and the ZOOM adventure world (1.8 km). A place to relax after an eventful day or an exciting evening. An extra-wide box-spring bed (180 × 200) and a Ligne Roset Multy sofa bed (160 × 200) give everything for a relaxing night's sleep. The free parking space for two cars and right in front of the entrance door makes it easier to arrive without stress.

A supermarket and bakery are right behind the house.
