Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Herefordshire

Excellent accommodation in a beautiful countryside setting. Everything was spotless, the bed was very comfortable with top quality linen. The bathroom was spacious and very clean. The farmhouse is very old and filled with historical features, a real treat to stay in a proper traditional B&B, and an excellent cooked breakfast topped it all off. Would highly recommend!

We stayed for one night at Elmsleigh on a cycling trip through Wales. Sharon and David were excellent hosts. The bedroom was wonderfully clean and cosy and had a brilliant shower. Sharon sent us on our way with the best ever cooked breakfast. A great stay.

Lis and Andrew have a delightful house and a spectacular garden. Breakfast was tasty, we particularly enjoyed the homemade rhubarb compote! The beds were comfy and the shower worked well. The house is at the top of the hill and it’s a short walk to the nearby pubs and restaurants in Kington. We had a great chat with the hosts, Lis and Andrew who are friendly and amenable. It was a great stay, thanks so much!

Diana was attentive and always immediately responsive throughout our pre-visit dialogue. She was there to meet us on our arrival, with a lively and engaging welcome. Diana was fascinating to talk to and the charming furnishings in her lovely home have touches of her adventurous experience abroad. We were grateful to sit for a while in the spectacular, abundant grounds, free to admire the peace and tranquility. It is clear that a great deal of thought has gone into setting up Diana’s AirB&B provision and arrangements. Very clearly she talked us through all we needed to know and then allowed us freedom to enjoy it. The bed was particularly comfortable and made up with sumptuous bedding. We are left with rich memories of the outstanding and distinctive charm of the place and of Diana’s reassuring capability in her role hosting us so very well.

Great Air B&B find. Used as a half way point for mountain biking in the area. Had everything we needed and more. Breakfast was lovely.

Lovely country pub and B&B in Longtown. Very clean and the home made food was lovely.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Susan’s B and B. It was very special for our party of three sisters and two second cousins from the States who came to England to visit our family roots. Our great grandfather grew up in Ullingswick, emigrating in the late 1800’s to the American wild west. His brother lived in the house which is now the B and B. Pre-trip communication with Susan was so warm, and welcoming that I felt we would we would be treated like true houseguests ( and I imagine all her guests may feel that way.) A few days before our arrival Susan unfortunately ended up in the hospital due to an accident. She could have cancelled our reservation, but her son and his partner stepped in and did a fabulous job of hosting—attending to all our needs, providing tea in the garden, cooking full English breakfast, and even giving a couple of us a lift to the nearby pub (The Three Horseshoes which has fabulous food!) Our stay was the highlight of the entire trip.

Mark's house is in a very peaceful location, perfect for country lovers and those seeking a break from traffic and people noise. The house is comfortable, clean and everything is provided. You'll need a car and to travel for food and services although the local petrol station is handy for fuel in ordinary shop opening hours. You can access some amazing history, buildings and countryside here.

We had an amazing 3 night stay. Lovely property, rural with beautiful views- the great british countryside. The sunrise is not to be missed! The breakfast was spot on and were asked what we wanted beforehand. We made use of the pool and hot tub in the sunny weather (towels are provided). Carol and Terry are really nice hosts and gave us a very warm welcome and made us feel at home immediately. Our 4 year old daughter didn't want to leave! It is in such a peaceful and relaxing location. We hope to visit again!

The room was spotlessly clean. Delicious breakfast and peaceful location. They were friendly hosts and Viv was very accommodating when we had to change our dates.

My partner and I stayed at Hampton Mere for a couple of nights, as we were attending a wedding at Bredenbury Court Barns down the road. All we can say is WOW! The converted barn we stayed in was so charming and charactful - Heather gave us the full tour, including the grounds which surrounded the idyllic barn. We were taken round and saw the beautiful flowers, the animals and the amazing Herefordshire brick, and what Heather and Paul had done for the upkeep of their home. Paul cooked us an amazing breakfast on both mornings, with fresh apple juice from their orchard, homemade jams and coffee. Both Heather and Paul were very friendly and made us feel welcome in their cosy home. It was my partner’s birthday on one of the days, and they even greeted him with balloons and a gift. We would (and already have) recommend anyone to stay at Hampton Mere for a peaceful Herefordshire weekend getaway! Thank you both for an amazing stay, we can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful location-great to walk Hergest Ridge. Accommodation was great - everything we could need. Sarah and Dave are great hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Pub attached was perfect with great ( musical when we were there ) atmosphere 👍🍺

What a lovely place to stay. Gino and staff made you feel at home from the time you arrive to the time you check out. Great breakfast included. We had evening meal one night which was lovely too. We stayed as we were going to a wedding and what the special touch was we were picked up at the end of the night by one of Gino’s staff. First class. Thank you for a great stay and have already recommended to friends.

We loved our stay with Pete and Lexie. They are such friendly and caring people and immediately made us feel right at home. The room was spotlessly clean with a very comfy bed and beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The breakfast they supplied us with on both mornings was plentiful and delicious, and an extra that we were so grateful for before we set off to explore the Malvern Hills. The private bathroom was huge and had two sinks, a shower and bath with lovely new toiletries to use. It was freezing on the mornings of our stay and Pete came out and poured hot water over the windscreen and windows of the car; its little things like that that really set these hosts apart from others. Nothing was ever too much trouble. We really can’t fault our stay it was perfect from start to finish and we would love to return. Thanks!

A fabulous remote family run B&B with comfortable beds, great shower and the most impressive country expanse views. Emma & her family were very welcoming and friendly hosts. We slept incredibly well as it was so very peaceful and dark. Highly recommend for a quiet getaway.

Beautiful location, two pubs in walking distance,very peaceful, the accommodation was extremely well prepared, bedrooms and en-suite really large, lovely welcome pack of tea, coffee, hand made cookies and snacks, even welcome card from Julia and Toni. Breakfast was beautiful, prepared to order, timing no issue, some extra bits with muffins and chia and blueberry pots, we will definitely eat there on our next stay. A warm and welcoming couple, very helpful, really nice conversations, it felt like stopping in a friend’s house rather than a B&B. The location was so quiet, great nights sleep, beds very comfortable. Couldn’t have picked a better vegan friendly location for a two night stay, thanks Julia and Toni for looking after us last weekend it was so nice.

I have stayed in many places but never one where the hosts are so friendly, open and accommodating. They literally welcomed us into their home and we felt totally at ease with Julia, Tony and Love dog. Their home is beautiful, the food is delicious and we also had dinner on our last night and it was superb, better than most restaurants! Julia recommended places to visit and places to eat and they did not disappoint, she definitely knows her stuff. The room we stayed in was called Angel and it was huge, I love how all the beds can be split and the hot shower after a long day hiking in the Breacons was so welcomed. Honestly, I can't say enough about this place, from the comfortable beds, cotton hotel grade linen, to the pristine white fluffy towels, the kettle and teas available in the room, the distilled water by the bed, they have thought of everything. It's all the wonderful finishing touches in addition to the warm and welcoming hosts that makes this place stand out. A must stay!

If there were more than five stars to give I’d happily do so! Julia and Tony aren’t your average Hosts, they are super dooper hosts! Our entire stay was absolutely lovely. From the home baked cookies we received on arrival, to the best bed and bedding we’ve ever slept in we can’t rate Stoneleigh highly enough! The house is beautiful and gloriously renovated; we were made to feel part of a very comfortable home. All of Julia and Tony’s recommendations on where to go and places to see, were perfect for us, we brought our road bikes and spent three days exploring the countryside. We ate like kings and enjoyed the whole experience. We’d recommend Stoneleigh and Julia, Tony and Love Dog to everyone!

Anna’s place is absolutely stunning, fabulous style and luxury in every detail. Her exceptional interior design skills are evident throughout the suite, which was perfect in every way. Anna was incredibly responsive and flexible, offering invaluable local information that made my stay easy. And the breakfast was delicious! I was touched by the warm hospitality from Anna, her husband, and their two wonderful little boys. Though our encounter was brief, it was truly memorable. Thank you, Anna, and your beautiful family!
