Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Heraklion

we had a lovely week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with beautiful sea views. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort in a great location for visiting the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

My wife loved this place. Everything from the new modern unit to the garden grounds. The bed was comfortable and the private parking area was also very convenient. The beach is walking distance, only half a mile away(downhill). But we didn’t feel like walking uphill back to the unit, se we just drove. An adorably friendly cat visits daily, which my wife also enjoyed.

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

Antonia and Stella's house is very convenient and really very clean. There are wonderful views of Heraklion Bay. And the surroundings are quiet. Check-in and check-out information is impeccable, we arrived directly. Rodia is 15 minutes from the port of Heraklion, so very convenient for excursions in this city. Thank you for the fruit, drinks and pastries received upon arrival

Lovely place to stay and well set up - we had a very comfortable couple of days Fabulous to be welcomed with fresh produce most of which was home grown in the fridge and a bottle of wine as well as oils and vinegar and tea and coffee Would definitely stay there again

This was a lovely and nicely renovated little appartement that was less than 20 min drive from airport in a little village surrendered by beautiful hills

Michael was an excellent host , and we enjoyed our staying, a very private and peaceful zone , we would return definitely!

The house and the landlord Gorgios are great and highly recommended. The house is quiet, very clean, has a great garden and everything for a relaxing holiday. Gorgios had even provided a basic supply of food and drink for the first evening and brought us rolls and strawberries over a short visit. Also, Gorgios was very flexible - thank you for everything. We will be back.

very nice clean modern apartment equipped with everything, air conditioning, equipped kitchen, washing machine, comfortable bed, only flaw is the lack of a dishwasher. around the house there were several cats and also 4 adorable dogs that live in that area, but don't be afraid they are very sweet and harmless, we fed them throughout our stay and they always made us happy, if you can please do the same, in Crete there is no real concept of pets and even less of stray dogs abandoned to themselves, a small gesture can make a difference, thank you very much.

We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay in Crete. Katerina welcomed us very well in this paradise island me and my sister. Indeed, she welcomed us at the bus stop to show us the beautiful apartment which is a 10-minute walk from the beach. The apartment had all the necessary amenities and it was very clean (the bedrooms, the kitchen, the shower, the sheets,...). Katerina was listening and answering all our questions throughout our stay. She showed us the supermarket which is 10 minutes away by bus where you can find tasty vegetables and fruits and local products like olive oil and honey. It also showed us the tourist places: the most beautiful beaches of Crete like the sublime Sarantaris beach, the beautiful Heraklion Cruises to Dia Island and the beautiful neighboring towns like Nikolaos. We had a very nice week in the apartment with our children of 4 and 6 years old. The apartment was as shown in the pictures of the ad! Clean, neat, spacious enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. Balcony on the smaller side with four of us, but that didn't bother us. We had regular contact with Magdalena, she always responded very helpfully and extremely quickly (within 5 min). That was very pleasant! She had also arranged a taxi from the airport to the apartment and back for us at the end of the week. For the kids enough to do here in the area, everything within walking distance: the small swimming pool, beach/boulevard, CretAquarium, Dinosaur park. I would definitely recommend the apartment! Furthermore, we found the area a bit outdated (although there is a lot of new construction coming!) and not very lively. We were there outside the holiday season.

My husband and I spent a lovely week at Asteri Home. The house was exactly as expected and just what we wanted for our week in Crete. The kitchen was well-equipped and allowed us to make breakfasts and a some dinners at home. The main double bedroom was big enough and comfortable. The bathroom is a bit dark and the shower is quite small, but we made do. The most amazing part of the house is the huge garden overlooking the sea that has 4 sun loungers, 2 outdoor tables for dining, a BBQ and a dart board. We spent a lot of time sitting at the end of the garden enjoying the view. Véronique and Yiannis are amazing hosts. They were so helpful right from the start - arranging transport from the airport, a rental car, offering suggestions for restaurants and places to visit. Kokkini Hani is quieter than other more touristy parts of Crete we visited. We found wonderful Greek restaurants with fresh seafood everyday. The supermarket and shops are all in walking distance. A lovely place!

We stayed here for 8 days with our son and his wife and our granddaughter. It was absolutely perfect for us, we spent several days in Heraklion and then toured the neighbouring regions of the island in our rented car. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a large and well-stocked kitchen which allowed us to cook some meals together. We were especially grateful for Eirini's offers of assistance and suggestions for activities such as the Oxi day celebrations on October 28. We would have missed it if she hadn't alerted us to the parade. All in all a perfect holiday, would gladly stay there again.

Everything was impeccable

We stayed in a really well furnished home, with all possible comforts available. The host is really nice and welcoming. The only thing is the neighborhood, quiet but a little shabby. However the house is amazing, we couldn't ask for better

We had an amazing 1 week stay at this beautiful place. Also the host was so sweet in helping us. She made sure we found the house during night time and got some food for us for breakfast. Also the place was very clean and the kitchen has everything you need. This place is just magical with the beautiful sunrise every morning. Also the inside of the house and spots outside the house give a very cozy feeling. We would also definitly recommend to hire the chef-kok for a night. It was one of the highlights of our stay because of the amazing food and their kindness to us. Would love to come here again!

Great place to stay! Gorgeous views, large home with plenty of space.

We loved our stay at this comfortable, immaculate property with a gorgeous view of the ocean. Dimitris was extremely responsive and helpful, Popi who met us at checkin was friendly and welcoming, and Maria who came by to clean was sweet. The apartment is located in a great area as it is a small seaside community but still has a grocery store, restaurants, and pharmacy within walking distance. We rented a car and drove all over. I really enjoyed the time we spent outside on the patio listening to the waves crashing.

My husband, our 7yo daughter, and I stayed at Michaela's house in Crete for five nights in April, and we enjoyed it very much. The inside is clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely, but the outside living space - the pool area, the outside dining/grilling area, the terraces - make it special. Michaela's mother Eva, who lives next door, is an exceptionally welcoming and kind host. While she was nearby to help make our stay as comfortable as possible, there was no loss of privacy in the proximity. The house is in a quiet residential area, and we rented a car to get to grocery stores, restaurants, beaches, etc., and to explore Crete in general; this was easy and worked out very well. The weather during our stay was still cool enough, especially at night, so we didn't make full use of the AC system, but the house seems well equipped to handle summer heat. All in all, we recommend and hope to stay again sometime!

We had a great time in this lovely villa. The outside is truly beautiful and we loved spending the day at the pool. Inside is also very nice especially with the brand new kitchen. We would love to come back!

Very nice place, very quiet and with absolutely magnificent views. The villa is very easily accessible by car and parking is secure. The pool, gardens and terrace are very nice. Excellent hosting and great responsiveness from Theodora and her loved ones. I would highly recommend it.
