Great holiday home with fantastic views. Kitchen has all you need to cook with. She had left eggs and milk which was very appreciated. Good location, close to lots of towns and places to eat. Would stay again

Wow! I felt genuinely a little bit emotional when I opened the blinds of the shepherd hut this morning. The view is absolutely beautiful and I think it might be our favourite Airbnb locations we’ve ever stayed in!!! Yes, the last little bit of road is bumpy but that is part of getting to the location it’s in, any car would be fine when going slow. We loved watching all the wildlife mooching about from the window. The hut is cosy, clean, the bed was comfy and has everything you need. The shower was really good! The weather wasn’t the kindest to us but it was still magical. I would recommend picking up any food/essentials before reaching the hut if you don’t want to do a 40min round trip. We popped to the pub in Wasdale, it was dated, full of soggy walkers and dogs and nearly every table had a deck of cards out, we loved it for a drink. We did order a couple of nibbly bits but probably wouldn’t order food there again. We also stopped at the sawmill for breakfast! Beautiful!! 5*!!
