Sandford is an excellent host and communicates well. When he didn't have what we had requested he was ready with a suitable substitute and allowed us the choice on whether to switch our reservation criteria. I like being offered solutions, not just "no." And, the accommodation was very nice.

The stay is 8min away from National Volcano Park. If you are planning 2 day’s visit to Volcano park, you can consider this. There is list of restaurants , if want to order food at home. We went to Volcano house for dinner as it was just 8 min away. I would recommend this stay. John also suggested some nearby places to eat food. This is a remote place as it is near the entrance of National volcano park but it is peaceful.

I have to say the home was impeccable clean and the accommodations very comfortable. The staff at the facility we’re available for any needs from fresh towels and information about excursions. I would stay here again without hesitation..

Beautiful property all-in-all. Spacious unit with huge balcony for dinners outside. The pools were lovely and there was no towel game. Timeshare pressure, but if you clearly state you are not interested, and ignore their Day 1 and 2 strategies to have you book a meeting, they leave you alone. It is an ideal location for families, and is an easy walk to the downtown restaurants and shops. It's not far from the Mai Tai Bar on the water at the Royal Kona Resort. That is a good place for meals and drinks while watching the spinner dolphins put on a show.

I stayed at this airbnb for a conference, and it was perfect for what I needed. The room was simple and clean. Matthew was very responsive and helpful with checking in. The hotel itself is lovely with great amenities that were access without a problem throughout my stay. The resort/ surroundings are beautiful. Overall, I had a great experience here and highly recommend staying!

Kalven was super nice and responsive, we were very happy with him as our host! As the Kona Coast Resort is a Wyndham / Shell Vacations property the checkin was done with Wyndham staff on site and in that sense we had nothing more to do with Kalven. Regarding the Wyndham property, Kona Coast Resort: brown brown brown, everything brown! The place seriously needs updating, it's super old, but it was clean, very spacious and a pleasant place to stay. 2 good swimming pools and a wonderful view from the main reception. Kona is generally a very expensive place to stay, this was no exception but it was pleasant. Thanks Kalven!

Stayed here for a weekend getaway with my wife and was really impressed. The room was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though it’s part of a hostel, it still felt private and quiet, which was a pleasant surprise. It made it easy to unwind and enjoy some quality time together. The host was kind and took great care of us—very responsive and thoughtful, which made the experience even better. We liked the stay so much that I ended up booking it again for the following weekend. We usually head out to the other side of the island for family and work, so I surprised my wife by reserving the same place—and she was ecstatic when she realized it. It’s a great spot for a quick, no-fuss stay, and it’s definitely become our go-to for trips out that way. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a private, easy, and comfortable stay.

We are so glad we chose this place for our first Hawaii vacation. We would go back in a heartbeat. The grounds are beautiful. So nice to have a place that feels peaceful and calm, not a stark condo on a lawn or parking lot. Things we loved: Pool/Hot Tub lots of fun for the kids and close to our unit. Kids loved making other friends there. Unit very clean and well cared for. Fun things like shell scalloped sink and jet tub. Nice wood furniture on porch/in rooms Beautiful grounds - very well-cared for by groundskeepers and provides peaceful, nice ambience with trees, plants, paths, and historic areas. Several quality BBQs located around the resort - everyone loves using them. Laundry (W/D) in unit. We did a lot of laundry! Employees at resort very kind and helpful Lovely porch Trash/recycling easy to access. Appreciated fitness room Improvements Stock photos for listing. One photo was incorrect and makes you a bit nervous about what to expect. Fitness room could be expanded

Good location, and was perfect for us and our daughter to stay. Kitchen was good and we cooked there often. Played in the pool and had wonderful adventures!

Amazing location right on the beach with a lot of good places to eat around. Host was very helpful and kind. Would give more than 5 stars if I could.

This place was a great value and then a great location. The room was lovely and it was nice having laundry and dishwasher.
