Jack's Cottage, Curbar

TonyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We’ve just come back from a short stay at Jacks cottage, this was our first booking through Airb&b so we didn’t really know what to expect, we needn’t of worried as we thought Jacks cottage looked even better in the flesh than in the pictures so did it disappoint. The place was spotless when we arrived which is great as it put us all at ease, we felt at home straight away. Jacks cottage is situated in a small and very quiet village, honestly there is no noise. We live in a busy town with road noise so going to sleep at night with no sound but the birds singing was lovely. The hot tub was a great way to relax after a day out walking and again was spotless. The cottage is in a perfect location to explore the Peak District with some amazing walks right on the doorstep, we particularly enjoyed Bakewell, The Chatsworth estate and finding the very local Robin Hoods cave ( what 3 words assets.joined.offer if you struggle to find it). Thank you again Matt & Ginny for a lovely holiday

Luxury Peak District Cottage with Hot Tub

EllieRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Myself and my partner came to stay for 2 nights. As soon as we walked in we felt extremely welcomed and at home. Lots of detail was put into the cottage along with homemade cake and fresh apple juice. The surroundings were amazing and hosts had provided maps and allowed us access on the farm. Would 100% recommend and we will definitely be booking to come again. We met both hosts who were very lovely and you can tell they have put a lot of thought into the cottage and hard work. There is generally nothing to complain about, the whole cottage was perfect!

Luxury Country Cottage with Hot Tub

KirstyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was our second stay at The Stable House. The cottage is beautiful, well presented, and spotless. We love the peaceful area, and the views are stunning. The hot tub is a brilliant place to relax on an evening. Sandra and Steve are excellent hosts. They sent detailed instructions on how to access the property, provided a beautiful welcome basket on arrival and gave a range of suggestions about the local area. We particularly enjoyed our meal at the Devonshire Arms on our final evening. The cottage is well situated to visit a range of different places in the area or to pop into Nottingham itself. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful cottage in Parwich village with hot tub

SophieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Caroline's place was lovely, a peaceful break in the countryside! A reasonable distance from some of the attractions of the Peak District, including the Tissington Trail and Thor's Cave. The village was quaint and we had a lovely meal in the local pub, The Sycamore (recommended by Caroline). The only downside was the typical British summer weather raining down on us - wish us better luck next time!

Brown Bread Cottage - Peak District

AdamRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Our stay at Brown Bread Cottage was delightful. Andre provided clear instructions to find the place, the laminated booklet inside was informative, gave us plenty of recommended local activities and how to use the hot water and heating so despite the rural location, we were always comfy and clean. The locally sourced milk in the fridge on arrival was a great touch. There is also a Wii with a good selection of games for those relaxing in the evening. It’s within walking distance of Edale, which has fantastic eateries with picturesque views. As well as small towns, less than a 10 minute drive away with everything you could need, such as bakeries, general stores, fuel and more. Andre greeted us on arrival, and left us to it. Despite it being a small cluster of cottages, the property is very private and doesn’t feel like you’re living in someone else’s property like some other stays. Will be staying again to do more of the local walks once my fractured knee is healed!

I've lost count of how many times I've stayed in The Nook - I love it! So homely and relaxing, utterly tranquil and in a prime location for exploring the heart of the Peak District (a number of great walks from the doorstep). Tracy is a great host, the place is spotless and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen. Cute rear garden with summer house, sit and watch the sunset over the hills while the sheep potter about in the field. Bliss.

Valentine Cottage, Tideswell luxury, lovely garden

LindsayRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The cottage is a lovely place to stay and the garden is very pretty. The surrounding area is picturesque and the village is great. We were left a very generous supply of neccesary items to begin our stay, milk, tea, coffee, salt & pepper, toilet rolls, kitchen towel, soap, dishwasher tablets and much more, there was even a packet of tissues left in the bedrooms which was a lovely touch. The kitchen had a plentiful supply of cooking utensils , crockery, cutlery and was very well organised. The conservatory was also well stocked with more crockery a cutlery and a toaster, a lovely place to have our meals , chill out plus there was a nice supply of games left for us to play which we made good use off. The lounge has an open fireplace which we did use as the weather was unfortunately cold and wet during our stay so was very welcome. A comprehensive information folder was also supplied and was very useful. I and my family would definitely recommend the cottage as a great place to stay.

Upside down stone Bothy on Marsden Moor

PaulRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a fantastic stay at David’s beautiful and unique accommodation. David was responsive to all queries and made us feel incredibly welcome. He’s clearly passionate about the space he has designed and built — it’s thoughtfully planned, exceptionally well designed, and full of character. The attention to detail throughout is outstanding. We had the best night’s sleep in the enormous, super-comfy bed, and the large walk-in shower was a joy to use. The property is equipped with everything you could possibly need (and more) for a relaxing and comfortable stay. The views from the living area and terrace are lovely. It’s an easy and scenic walk into the centre of Marsden along the canal towpath or a quiet lane, and both the Standedge Tunnel and North of England Centre for Music and Arts with its cafe are just a couple of minutes away on foot. Also recommend the Zapato Brewery tap. Thanks. A particularly thoughtful touch is the large wall-mounted OS map — perfect for planning walks into

Rocking Stone Cottage - Idyllic Rural Retreat

EdwardRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a wonderful stay at Rocking Stone Cottage near Bakewell. The location was ideal and just a short drive to places like Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, and right on the doorstep of the Peak District countryside. The cottage itself was beautifully kept, warm and welcoming, with spacious rooms and generous en-suites. It felt like a real home away from home. Rachael and Gerry were fantastic hosts. Rachael sent through lots of helpful information ahead of our visit, and every one of her recommendations hit the mark. One of the best things about Rocking Stone Cottage was how quickly we could get out into nature. Within minutes of leaving the front door, we were walking through open fields with sheep and cows, and could stroll from one village to the next across the peaks. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend both the cottage and the hosts - truly a special spot.

Long Roods Cottage, Monsal Head, near Bakewell

What a gem of a property, clean, very comfortable, extremely well equipped and in a perfect location to explore the Peak District. The beauty of the surroundings is majestic, could not ask for anything more. The EV charger is a very welcome feature given the dearth of public chargers in the area. Local pubs lived up our expectations. Patrick & Anne were most helpful throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Anne's cottage and we will be back!

Gramps's - exquisite 2 bed home, comfy & cosy

What an awesome place! A beautiful, spacious 2-bedroom house in a truly spectacular location, hosted by the warmest and most cheerful host — Debbie! The home was thoughtfully set up with everything we could possibly need. The kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics, and we were delighted by the most unique-looking eggs from the farm — such a charming touch. The bathroom had all the essentials, and the beds were cosy and comfortable. Clear instructions and local guides were provided, including tips from Debbie, which made everything easy and stress-free. We were blown away by the remote, peaceful setting right in the heart of the moors, close to dramatic cliffs and stunning hiking trails. The nearby Longshaw Estate was another bonus for beautiful walks. All in all, we had an amazing stay. Highly recommend this place!
