This is an ideal studio apartment for single person/couple with double bed, basic well appointed kitchen and bathroom/shower. Although incorporated physically in the larger house it has its own side passage entrance and sitting out area and is well soundproofed for maximum privacy. The surrounding countryside is on the doorstep for beautiful walks and Didcot is a short drive away for a wide range of shopping options and transport links, particularly rail. Phil is a genial and responsive host and we had a perfect stay.

Lovely, spacious annexe in village location within walking distance of Harwell campus and bus links into Didcot. Very well equipped space including proper work desk and snacks, tea/coffee, milk provided. Hosts were very welcoming and eager to provide any assistance required. Highly recommend!

I had an amazing stay at Paul and Amanda's place! From the start, they made me feel so welcome and at home. It was a hectic week at the lab in Harwell, and coming back to their place each day was such a relief. It’s the closest you can stay off-campus, super affordable, and very close to the bus stop—really convenient! The place itself is cozy, spotless, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. They truly go above and beyond to make their guests feel at home while still respecting privacy. They even saved me dinner most nights, which was such a comfort after long days. And Paul was so kind to give me lifts to the Harwell campus, which made everything so much easier and more comfortable. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Harwell
