Caretaker Cottage

Dixona, the historic home across Hwy 25 from the Caretaker Cottage, was built is 1787 by Tilman Dixon. Pres. Washington awarded Tilman a share of land for fighting in the Revolutionary War. He traveled by boat traversing rivers and creeks until he found the spring near the cottage. He built the only home in the area which became the first post office, tavern and court for the area. Today, the Caretaker Cottage embodies the simple accommodations of one who would look out for Dixona Farm.

Our log cabin home is located on 30 acres just north of Gallatin, TN. Perfect location to enjoy Nashville and all it has to offer! Stay in our downstairs guest suite which has a private entrance, living space, bedroom and full bath. The guest suite is in the lower level of our cabin and is a naturally cool environment, so it's great for sleeping (no thermostat). We are only about a 50 min drive from the heart of downtown Nashville and Old Hickory Lake is just 20 minutes away!

The BirdDog Farm is tranquility and peace. We have no light pollution so the night sky is abound with stars. Come to our quiet hollow in Dixon Springs, TN and you will hear absolutely no traffic. We have a fully stocked pond for fishing and are 15 minutes from Defeated Creek and the Candy Fork. Great hiking, wildlife, canoeing, bird watching, etc. This is a DOG friendly property. Conveniently close to I-40 with a driving time of 35 min. to the Nashville airport or 45 min. downtown Nashville. This brand new above garage loft has a private entrance. Kitchen offers granite counters, fridge, microwave, oven, and dishwasher. For laundry there is a washer/dryer combo. Cute bungalow in quiet n'hood

Unwind at this peaceful little bungalow! Everything you will need to feel right at home is at your fingertips! The very private back yard is a great place to enjoy a bonfire, play with the pup, or enjoy your coffee or cocktails on the deck! There is also a dog kennel within the fully fenced backyard if you need a safe place outside to contain your fur babies! Unfortunately, due to allergies we can NOT accommodate CATS.
