At first it seems like the middle of know where but you soon realize it is the middle of the most relaxing place you have ever been. There are so many things to see from Sun stone's to Petroglyphs to the Shirk Ranch, Sitting on the Deck at night watching the Stars. Plush is one of the Darkest places in the west, very little light pollution here. The list is endless.

Pets allowed inside if potty trained. Just a 5.3 miles from town. It is on the south side of Highway 20 east of Burns, you must go past Red Barn Road. There is red reflectors to help find the driveway at night. It’s a on a pivot that with permission and caution about buildings, pivot, equipment and the highway you may shoot ground squirrels and jack rabbits! There is a corral for horses and a kennel for dogs. It is centrally located for horse activities like cuttings, brandings.

This house has been totally remodeled and updated. All new appliances, furnishings, floors, and fixtures. Beautiful large yard with a back deck to enjoy your evenings while in the area.

The Outlook

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Located on a remote eastern Oregon cattle ranch. Wildlife viewing, star gazing at it's best. Winter months are snow shoeing, cross country skiing, or a good book by the fire. Beautiful views in all directions, and we are the only ranch in sight. Mama Bear's Den is conveniently located across the street from the grocery store, 3 blocks from downtown restaurants & shopping, and an easy 2-minute drive to the hospital. Exceptionally gracious hosts. Upstairs area was very pleasant, private and spacious. We came for the bird festival and this place was just a short bike ride away from some great bird watching and the fairgrounds.

Rachel and Dag are wonderful hosts! The house is warm and inviting, the bed is comfy, and the hospitality is exceptional. This was our second stay, and again, we felt right at home and knew what to expect. This spot is perfectly located on our way to eastern Oregon. Thanks for providing a great spot to get some rest on our journey!
