Cottage on Ornö (island) in Stockholms archipelago

We had a fantastic stay! The location was wonderful and the view was absolutely magical. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed to cook over the weekend. We were a little unprepared for how dark it would be when we arrived with the Waxholms boat, so it took longer than expected to get to the house as we walked on narrow paths in the dark. A tip for other guests is to pack with a headlamp and stable shoes for late arrivals. The sauna was lovely, although it was not insulated and therefore could not get warmer than 60 degrees, but it was nothing that negatively affected our experience. We had some bad luck with running water due to a problem with the pump, but Madeleine was quick and helpful in trying to solve it, which meant that we still had a good weekend. The fridge pep recurring, but when we were told we didn't have to do anything about it, it wasn't a major issue. All in all the accommodation was wonderful and and Madeleine was very nice, communicative and solution oriented

Our large multi-generational family had a wonderful time at this villa and lakehouse property. Herman set up all the rooms according to our needs, including bed configurations, cribs, child-guard gates and multiple child hardware and toys. Herman was so friendly and responsive to our every need, and helped connect us with groceries, restaurants and massages! The property is so beautiful and peaceful. We really enjoyed our family time inside the house, in the yard, and on the water. And we could drive to downtown within 1/2 hour to enjoy Stockholm and Skansen. I would highly recommend this property, and Herman for his wonderful hosting.

A break in paradise. Peaceful cottage for two people, lovely decorated and with all the desired equipment. A perfect spot for a summary week end as the exterior are worth to spend time around. Was accessible by public transportation. We could use the canoe and explore the surroundings.

Cap-sud

Fiversätraön is an island in the Stockholm Archipelago, quite remote, but easy to reach by Waxholm ferry, about 2.5 hours from Stockholm. The trip itself is a highlight!. From the ferry it is about 500m on foot and there is a handcart available for luggage. The host met us at the ferry and showed us the property, so we got a very good introduction. The host was very helpful and arranged food for us in advance as per a shopping list we gave him. It is also possible to order supplies online and have them delivered by ferry. Or you can take the ferry to Dalarö for shopping. The house is very properly named Cap-Sud as it sits on top of the southern end of the island with amazing views all around. The grounds are large with lots of beautiful spots to sit or lay down. We spent our time swimming, kayaking, and lazing about on the property. The kitchen is very well equipped. Everything was clean and all facilities were available as per description. We love to come back! This place is magic!
