Cabin at the No 1 The Chestnuts.

A small place to stay when travelling for work or visiting the area. Approximately 300 yards from Bentley Wood nature reserve. It’s a cosy cabin with very basic appliances/cups/bowls/dishes etc in the centre of a tiny village. There is a microwave, a 2 place countertop hob. A little fridge freezer. A bathroom with sink and shower. Towels provided I have had a couple poor reviews as there is nothing to do in the area, so ideal for a quiet stay!!! There is of course WiFi, tv, and board games.

Beautifully renovated rooms in the New Forest

Beautifully renovated rooms for a self contained break in the New Forest with direct access on to the open forest. Great for dog walking or just a yomp to the pub. Perfectly situated for visits to the Cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester, quaint New Forest towns such as Lyndhurst and Lymington and historic sites such as Stonehenge. This is a working small holding with cows, chickens, Guinea fowl and horses. The paddocks lead to a wood and stream where you can relax in the shepherds hut.

A warm welcome to our riverside cottage, a two bedroom quiet retreat located in the New Forest national park with lovely walks and cycle paths to see the ponies and other wildlife. It’s only a 20 min drive to the medieval city of Salisbury and 30-40 min drive to the sandy beaches of the South Coast. We have a friendly local village shop and pub within walking distance, and a fabulous ‘water-hole’ for swimming a few mins walk down the lane.

We had an amazing time, This house was lovely, just like the description, perfect for a holiday. The host was easy to communicate with and the instructions were very clear. The area is lovely, backing into a horse field with beautiful views. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice holiday in the new forest. Thank you for a lovely holiday and great memories.

We stayed two nights at the Owl Barn visiting the area. The barn is really close to Salisbury. We figure a car comes in handy to get around. The barn itself is great one room apartment with a small kitchen area (microwave and fridge) and a clean new bathroom. You don't hear any noise from the street. David was very kind and a great host and provided us with great recommendations.

We loved our stay at Ian’s (Mudhuts). The property was just as described - lots of character, immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly want from an Airbnb. Lovely welcome hamper too, which was a great surprise! The kitchen is fully stocked should you wish to cook too. There’s a log burner, which we did take advantage of when the weather turned a little wet. Outside, there’s a table and chairs, BBQ and plenty of beautiful forest walks straight across from the property. Not far at all to lyndhurst by car - maybe 20 mins or so. And a pub and a French restaurant pretty much next door! We had a truly wonderful stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Communication throughout and directions to the property was very good and made the experience feel like a proper holiday should. I will definitely be returning and have recommended the stay to my friends too. Thank you Ian and Jane.

Worth the 5 star track record! Anna’s place was on the higher side of what we’d usually go for price wise, but it was definitely worth it. She was super responsive and catered to our daughter, even leaving age-appropriate toys out for her and black out blinds. The place is beautifully decorated with lots of character and spotlessly clean, and the garden is incredible - perfect for an al fresco breakfast! You can tell Anna has put a lot of thought and effort into every detail of the place - she left us bread, milk and juice and even a bottle of champagne as we were celebrating a birthday. There were a million choices of coffee pod in the morning which is always very much appreciated! It’s a great spot for families, Anna left out a high chair, cot, baby plates and bowls etc. We highly recommend and hope to return soon!

We had a party of 8 and had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at The Lodge. The location is off the beaten track and peaceful with beautiful surroundings. We has plenty of space in the house and the games room was a huge bonus especially on days when the weather was poor. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to go cook comfortably for everyone. There are shops and pubs within east driving distance. Would definitely recommend.
