Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hammonds Plains

Absolutely loved our stay! The location was peaceful and right on the water with an amazing view. The space was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed. The host was friendly and responsive. A perfect girls weekend getaway!

Zahra’s place is super comfortable and in a lovely location. We enjoyed our stay!

Stayed at Anni's place for 2 nights. The check-in was super easy and well explained. We had to bring two vehicles and there was no problem parking both in their huge driveway. The unit is very private, spacious and bright. Lots of windows and has a lovely deck space. It was clean and well stocked. There is no stove but the one-burner induction cook top along with the toaster oven and microwave was all that we needed. The bed and living room furniture were comfortable and there is a lovely large TV with Netflix and live TV, etc. which provided lots of ertainment even for us technologically impaired individuals. The unit is located in a very nice, quiet area in an excellent location close to everything that you would need. Anni is a gracious host and always responds to messages right away. I would not hestitate to recommend this unit for both long or short term stays and would definitely stay again.

Very cozy place! It was right by the water with a beautiful view. Very convenient as well. We were about a 30 minutes drive from Downtown Halifax. Ashley was very responsive and helpful. Beautiful place and amazing host! I'd stay there again. :)

Dave’s cottage was cozy, clean, and equipped with everything we needed for our stay! We had the pleasure of seeing two different geese families and lots of ducks and loons, too. Our toddler loved all the toys and books and we enjoyed the gorgeous views and comfortable furnishings. We really appreciate Dave’s hospitality and great communication. All in all it was a visit!

we came for a family visit and enjoyed the maritime setting with a small view of St Margaret's Bay and easy access to the highways. bright, welcoming cottage exactly as advertised. we would recommend this to others.

Great little basement apartment to stay in on the outskirts of Halifax. Impeccably clean!

Coburn, I must say you and your family have put in a tremendous amount of work to create a space for yourselves and your guests. It felt like home, everything was well appointed and we didn’t lack for anything. Lots of style right down to your lovely collections, original wood beams with modern amenities. We enjoyed after our daily adventures coming home to deer grazing in the meadow or the resident mamma and baby porcupines. If we know of anyone travelling your way, we will suggest they check out Hubbards as place to stay. Thank you for the experience.

Really enjoyed my stay at Jamie’s place, stayed there for a month and enjoyed every single day! Place is very clean and Jamie has everything and honestly I felt it’s more than what was in the description! Jamie was always reachable and great in responding! Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Jim and Heather's place. Their home was exactly as advertised and so much more. They are very kind and considerate hosts who provided us with excellent advice on where to eat and go in the area. Looking forward to visiting their home during my next stay in Halifax.

A great stay. Loved the architectural uniqueness of the apartment. Lunenberg is a surprising discovery for those like me who hadn’t heard much about it before visiting. Great fish/ lobster restaurants close by. And the whale watching tour was only a short walk away.

Victoria has created such a cozy and welcoming space with an absolutely gorgeous view. Everything is spotless and pristine, the bed was super comfortable, and she has provided all you need for a home away from home. We enjoyed meeting her very sociable chickens and were able to truly relax in between our runs into Halifax for fabulous food, and a quick trip to Peggy’s Cove. Although our stay was brief, we had a simply marvelous time. Thank you so much, Victoria!

very nice / comfortable basement apartment...interior is as nice as it shows. The outside hot tub area is also very nice but the area surrounding it is still under construction, so it's not as attractive as the rest. I'm sure that will improve with time. A bit of noise from the apartment above but nothing we couldn't tolerate. Beds comfortable and good WiFi. Neighborhood is quiet and a nice park across the street.

We stayed for 6 months and it was absolutely wonderful! There were lots of beaches and trails nearby to take our dog. The views were amazing! We even saw a seal once! The apartment was beautiful as well, especially the kitchen (as someone who loves to cook and bake it was perfect!) It's the perfect distance from Halifax if you don't like the bustle of a city but still want to do some sightseeing if you don't mind driving a bit! Overall we loved every part of our stay :)

Spent a wonderful weekend with friends for a 60th birthday celebration. This place was amazingly beautiful, spacious, and appointed with many fine touches, from decor to fully equipped kitchen, to high quality beds and linens. We didn’t want for anything while here! We relaxed by the fire, indoors and out, played some lively games of pool in the top floor games rooms, and dined like royalty while gazing at Tancook Island peeking in and out of the fog. The location is absolutely beautiful and more spacious than the photos show. We enjoyed watching the wildlife and rolling fog from the bright open windows throughout the house. The host is very excited to share the experience with guests by providing kayaks and local food/ activity recommendations. The property is well looked after by a neighbor / property manager who has great recommendations as well! The property is remote but still within reasonable driving distance of Halifax and other tourist destinations. We recommend you get groceries on your way in though as there are limited grocery options in immediate area. Farmers markets are easily found and have best of NS. Highly recommend for a beautiful and relaxing vacation!

Jordan's villa was absolutely stunning. The expansive space had beautiful rooms, and surpassed all expectations. The photos depicted a lovely spot but it was even more incredible in person. Is is beautifully decorated, absolutely immaculate and had every possible amenity one could think of. It was a wonderful stay for us and I highly recommend a visit! It could not have been any more perfect!

Nice contemporary styled property on the water in a quiet community. House was clean and spacious. Host responses to inquires were not particularly fast, but eventually came. Had an issue where we ran out of toilet paper as spare rolls were not full rolls - Not a huge issue, but went unresolved despite contacting host.

It was an interesting stay for the host and for our group. First, I got a message that the air conditioning had failed the day before we arrived and the repair people were not available until after our stay. So the hosts put fans in all of the rooms! Then the hurricane came and it was not safe to stay. We left the day the hosts were coming to secure the house for the storm. And they initiated a refund for the days we could not stay! You can’t ask for more from hosts! The house is lovely and a great place to stay!
