Our apartment is perfectly located for transit travelers, families with children (good excursion destinations), cyclists (Danube bike path) and vacationers. With your own Airbnb access to the apartment, privacy is assured. Local tax to be paid on site: €2.40/ day Erw. Children up to the age of 15 are free. A lot of emphasis was placed on child-friendliness.

Our apartment is located in the beautiful village of Niederkappel, up in the heights of the Mühlviertel right behind the Danube Valley between Passau and Linz. Important information for bikers traveling on the Danube cycle path: From the Danube banks (Obermühl) it's a 3km steep, exhausting climb up to Niederkappel. If you are fit enough for that, you are very welcome to stay at our place. The views down onto the Danube will compensate for the efforts.

For riding enthusiasts, a wide variety of ponies and horses, suitable for beginners or demanding, are available. Relaxed atmosphere (the farm is also being renovated). The small room is partially furnished with antiques and is located in the old ship post office from 1805 opposite the castle, with an interesting museum directly on the Danube. The garden can be used by our guests. The Danube cycle path leads past the house. In addition to the usual bus connection, there is also the possibility to cross to Austria by ferry or to travel to Linz or Passau by steamer.
