Lakeland Cottage vacation home on the island of De Woude

If I could give Leigh-Anne a 10 star review, I absolutely would. My husband and I were traveling from the states on our honeymoon, never having visited the Netherlands and not really being travelers, period. We honestly had no idea what we were doing - Leigh-Anne jumped in and was so kind and helpful. She was so clear in describing where the Airbnb is, not leaving out any important details of how it was on an island, needing to travel to and from by ferry, how often the ferry ran, etc. Luckily we are not big nightlife people and booked the cottage for peaceful refuge and that is just what we got. My husband and I are animal/nature lovers, so the fact there are goats and a rooster were icing on the cake. There are endless fields with wildlife, flowers, cows that you can see from the bedroom window when you wake up and a nice set up outside that is perfect for enjoying some coffee with the goats and birds. De Woude is so cute and quaint. THANK YOU for sharing your space, Leigh-Anne! šŸ«¶šŸ¼

Waterfront / Lots of Privacy / Free Parking!

ErikRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We had a great stat at Karina’s boat house. It is probably one of the more unique locations we’ve stayed at. From the Central traine station you jump on the free ferry across the channel and then walk for about 5 mins to get to the boathouse. There are bars and restaurants close to the hose. On the same street as the boathouse is the ONS restaurant/bar which is really worth a stop. The boathouse is small but it has a small kitchenette and a roomy bathroom. There is a terrace right outside the door that rests on the water. Beautiful place to have a morning coffee or an apperitif in the evening. The sleeping arrangements were fun and definately something new for us. Somewhat nostalgic as you climb a ladder to get up to the bunkbed like mezzanine bed. Felt like a kid again! The neighborhood is quiet and tucked away from the hussle and bussle of downtown Amsterdam. Yet it only takes a quick walk and a 4 mins ferry ride to be right in the middle of everything. Highly recommend!

Arrive and feel comfortable: warm welcome, short briefing and tips. Private retreat with nice terrace and small garden at the back out to the water. Surrounded by water, great nature. Individual since you have to take the ferry to get there ( 2 min)- uncomplicated. We used the house as a couple and found everything we need for a nice getaway. Recommended

The location was very good, you are on the beach in 3 minutes. It was very secluded. Good bus connections for those who come by public transport. Lots of great restaurants on Parallel Boulevard plus a shopping mile. Not so big a selection of shells on the beach, but if you get up early in the morning you have better chances. Beautiful flat beach well suited for long walks.

We were completely satisfied with the accommodation! Everything was clean, cozy and as described. The landlords were very friendly and helpful – you felt welcome right away. We especially loved that you could borrow bicycles for free to explore the surrounding area. A real highlight was also the possibility to take a boat ride across the canal – that was a nice stay. We would definitely recommend the place and would be happy to come back

Luxury studio located in quiet green villa district

RisaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
It was in a quiet residential neighborhood, and it was very refreshing to see a glimpse of the local people's lives.Walking and cycling around was also fun.The room was very clean and tidy, and at night you could see the stars from the ceiling windows, and in the morning you could hear the birds chirping, and it was a very relaxing space.I wanted to do yoga in a very beautiful garden, and when I consulted, they kindly lent me a yoga mat. That experience was the highlight of our trip.Dax and Willemijn were friendly and quick to respond, which was helpful.Thank you very much:)

Cabin De Duinweg: directly on the beach, dune and forest

KatelynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I had an amazing time at the cabin. I am a florist and I came from the USA for the flowers and to learn as much as I could about them, the farming, the flower auctions & the marketing and advertising while I was here. I was traveling solo and her cabin is a perfect location for it all and I felt safe there through out my stay. I also loved the fact that I had the quiet woods and farmland surrounding me but could also be at the beach in a blink of an eye! She was an amazing host with the biggest heart and wonderful recommendations. I so wish to come back one day with my daughter. The cabin and The Netherlands have my heart now! :) Thank you for an amazing trip. P.s.- If you plan to stay here, maybe bring a flashlight because the trail in the woods to the cabin can get a little dark at night! ;)

We had a wonderful stay in the lovingly furnished guest house. Everything is available and everything in the apartment is described in a self-explanatory way. The guest house is very clean, the double bed very good and everything practical and nicely decorated. The location is great and a free large parking lot is just around the corner. Nel is very accommodating, quickly accessible and also responds very quickly. Katwijk is also very beautiful, especially the beach with all the beach clubs. Check-in was very easy with a lockbox. Thank you for the great stay. Absolutely recommended.

Stay on the Ringvaart

Small cozy and cocooning accommodation, with welcoming and warm hosts, and discreet. Bikes included in the rental which allows a short ride around. Facing the canal, the atmosphere is peaceful. The vinyl adds extra charm to the place. I thank Jacqueline for the little sweets in the fridge. A convenience store in the city allows for a few small errands by bike. We felt very good for two nights at Jacqueline and Piet's.

Beautiful garden suite with free parking

NickRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Jeroens place was fantastic, quiet and close to the train station. And easy trip to The Hague, Amsterdam central and even Utrecht are all within reach. Sadly there was a train worker strike on when I was here, though that did not disrupt the relaxing experience of Jeroens place, and if anything amplified exploration of the area and Haarlem. If you go, hire a bike. Jerome has some fantastic recommendations!

Luxury chalet near Haarlem, Zandvoort and Amsterdam

BrentRating, 5 starstoday
Staying at Alexander's place was a real pleasure. Upon arrival I was greeted by Alexander, who offered to help me get my bags from the car and answered all enquiries I had about the local area. Alex told me that the train station was less than 10 minutes walk from the property, so I caught the train into Amsterdam. The property itself is spotless and is nice and quiet and Cosy. You do hear the trains as they go by but ilyou quickly adapt to this and by bedtime they are fewer and fewer. This is a truly beautiful property and Alex was an absolute pleasure to talk to. Would recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Amsterdam but stay far enough from the centre that you get some peace and quiet! 10/10
