Where do we begin? Juan Carlos' home in Cerro de Oro is magical. It's situated in a bay right on Lake Atitlan with incredible views every single day. It might honestly be the nicest place we've ever stayed in - all around exceptional. The house is two stories, living room & kitchen upstairs & beds downstairs. The grounds are spectacular - this family really thought of everything. They have a 2-person kayak which we took out every morning as well as a couple of paddle boards. There are 2 hammocks under the trees which we definitely relaxed in and then there's the hot tub. Oh, the hot tub. Words cannot describe the magic of this tub. It takes 2-3 hours to heat up so make sure to tell Tiburcio ahead of time and he'll get it all ready to go. We also spent the extra money and had Marina cook us all of our meals (for approx $10/day - it's coffee money) which helped us completely relax. The staff team were all wonderful and treated us like royalty including dogs Rocco & Negra!

We celebrated my husband's birthday and we really felt like we were in a bubble very close to the city. The view of the volcanoes and the incredible lake. And the Jacuzzi and every detail of the house was impeccable. I recommend it.

My friend and I had a lovely few day stay in Becca's place. It was nice to have our own little part of Santiago - lovely views of the lake and nearby volcano, a great restaurant on the premises, and of course, the cabin itself was well appointed. There was lots of purified water, a great kitchen with fridge and comfortable bedding. We would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a special stay while visiting Santiago, and Lago Atitlan..

Good place, very quiet and full of nature!

I had a great stay! The place is beautiful, quiet and private that is what I was looking for to be able to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of day to day races. Otto was always attentive and friendly, he allowed me to check in a little earlier, with the availability of being able to check out a little later; and Nicolás, the guardian, always attentive and willing to help. The facilities of Hotel El Bambú very nice and the staff and management very friendly and friendly. Everything was super, Beautiful place 🙏🏻

Aldo had everything.. literally. Including a remarkable view. Waking up to the volcano every morning was so gorgeous. The house was lovely and the outdoor space was even better! Don Miguel was very nice and always available. We all can't wait to come back. Bonus, there were tuk tuks around the corner so we could get into town.

We had an incredible time as a family, we appreciate the cleanliness and beauty of the place, quiet, charming and safe. Your pets will be safe, the hammocks are a plus, the kitchen is fully stocked, I definitely recommend it and I will visit again, Rayito will stay in our hearts. Many thanks to the host Manuel, always available and attentive.

You will feel just right at home, its very cozzy and private, we had a few inconveniences that were resolved super fast by Richard, I highly recommended this place for a weekend or for a long stay

It is a beautiful place with good views and access to the lake. The house has a longer checkout time so in the morning we went to San Juan village and we are not that in rush to checkout. By the lake the volcano views is gorgeous, even sitting at the patio outisde the kitchen you can see the volcano and a lots of stars in the night. However, better to use a 4x4 car to arrive. And there is a 5 minutes staircases walking down to arrive the house. The house is quite warm, not as chill as in the outside. The house is equipped well. A good choice for a group of people accomodation.

The host was quick to respond and made our family feel very welcomed. Went above and beyond with any questions or concerns we had!

José is an excellent host, friendly and cordial, Cristian took great care of us during our visit. The house is beautiful, just what we were looking for to spend a few days as a family away from the hustle and bustle of the city in a beautiful environment.

Niels’ place in San Marcos was absolutely perfect for our stay. Situated in one of the best spots on the lake, it was close to the action that we could walk to cafes, restaurants and the famed trampolin but also far enough away that it was tranquil. From living in Australia, we are very used to seeing huntsman spiders and I think the spiders we found in the Airbnb were similar to huntsman - harmless but probably intense to discover if you have a fear of spiders. It didn’t bother us at all but I’m sure it would bother some people, but when you’re staying in a nature area by a gorgeous lake you expect it. The caretaker of the property Victor was kind to meet us late at night and was highly communicative. The Airbnb is down a steep hill but it wasn’t an issue for us (don’t bring a big suitcase for this reason, pack lightly!). Niels and Lily were communicative about pickup points and responsive to all our needs. We had a great stay! Loved it. Would stay again.

Casa Jucanya is a lovely space located on a larger property with multiple villas and a chalet structure. It is right across from the lake, and you can see the lake from the kitchen and living area windows. There is a nice swimming area nearby. However it is not as close to the main walking area in Panajachel. There is a river that splits Panajachel into two areas, and this is on the other side of the river. It is about a 10-20 minute walk during daylight, but the path is not lit at night and the path may also not be there at night. Anyway, a tuk tuk taxi ride is about 10 Quetzales one way. This was not an issue for us because we had rented a car. We were also traveling with my mom and our son, so this was more of a family vacation and we didn’t care to be as close to the main walking and shopping area. Staff is very helpful and nice, the house is very clean and well equipped. They are somewhat meticulous with a check in and check out checklist. We enjoyed our stay and will stay aga

Highly recommended. Very nice house and if you love nature, the surroundings are spectacular. Family trip, everyone was delighted. I forgot a garment and José kindly looked for it. I'm very grateful for his excellent service and attention. Highly recommended, especially if you travel with children, they will love it

A little bit off the beaten track but if you’re looking for a private and beautiful place to relax this is absolutely perfect. Would recommend bringing some supplies for breakfast etc as there’s not too many shops nearby but that was exactly what we were looking for. The bed is so comfy and the place is spotless. Armando is a fantastic host and made us feel right at home. Would highly recommend. Thanks!

The place is amazing, pool, jacuzzi and garden. The location is unique with an amazing spot to watch the sunrise. Our family enjoyed the place that offer a very nice lake surrounding. Thank you Andrea and her team for being very responsive.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the cottage! The beautiful views and the soothing sounds of nature made for an unforgettable experience. It was the perfect getaway, and we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Maximo and Annette were outstanding hosts – welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality truly made us feel at home. We also want to give a special shoutout to German and Lucky, who took great care of us during our stay. Their help and kindness made our experience even better, and we really appreciate them. This was a 10/10 stay, and we can’t wait to come back!

Duncan is a very helpful and responsive host. The bnb is a true getaway and was perfect for us to rest after hiking the Acatenango. Everything is a boat ride away. Duncan is a really good host!

Lovely house in a quiet location yet close to everywhere in El Paredon, a 5 minute walk from the sea. The house is specially designed, fully equipped with everything we needed and even more (pots, pans, kitchen towels, body and face towels, soap, shampoo and more). The landlord is nice and welcoming, gave us great recommendations at excellent prices. Thank you so much for hosting, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back.
