You are welcome to stay at 't Beschilderde Huis to enjoy Jo's artistic/homely atmosphere. Guests have their own entrance, livingroom and kitchen. Bathroom/toilet and bedrooms are upstairs. Breakfast and/or eveningmeals are an extra option, but cost are not included. Groningen is a 15km bikeride. At 3km walk from the house there is a good busconnection. Host offers language lessons ( English, Italian, Dutch). We appreciate good communication before accepting requests.

A nice, cozy little house on the edge of the old center. Fully furnished, comfortable and fully equipped. Can be booked for a short or longer stay. On the first day, a partly organic, self-service breakfast will be ready for you. Supermarket nearby is at Meeuwerderweg 96-98 (open until 10 p.m./Sunday 8 p.m.) The B&B does not have its own parking space. Not far and the cheapest option is the Oosterpoort parking garage - street name is Trompsingel 23.

Great sunset, best sleep of hidden space (Jeeva)

The Jeeva is a 8m2 German army unit, used for military training and named after the first guest: Eva (journalist and Russia correspondent, hence the name), converted into a double chalet. Despite its spartan image, it is one of the most comfortable accommodations at De Helleborus. It has a double bed, a small table and a bench for both. Jeeva is decorated with old Dutch designs. A nice detail is the handmade table with mosaic of old crockery.

Romantic stargazing in the Bubble!

Look at the stars lying in the double bed in my Bubble. My Bubble stands for comfort, tranquility, space and beautiful views! You will enjoy my Bubble by lying down to look at the stars and each other. My Bubble is suitable for couples and solo adventurers. Relax and have a nice cup of coffee or a glass of wine. From September 29 to mid-May 2026, I will be storing the Bubble again. The temperature is then no longer really pleasant.
