Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Great Sacandaga Lake

Where do I begin... I've stayed at numerous Airbnb properties, but this one stands out as one of the most beautiful settings I've encountered. The views of the lake are breathtaking, and having direct access to it was a huge bonus. We made full use of the canoes and kayaks provided, enjoying them every day. My husband, an avid fisherman, was thrilled with the lake, calling it one of the best freshwater fishing spots he's ever visited. The grounds are impeccably maintained and offer plenty of privacy. Inside, the house is both comfortable and well-appointed. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the pots, pans, utensils, and small appliances you could need. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the linens are of high quality. The furniture is tasteful and inviting. Karen was a wonderful host, easy to communicate with and responsive. My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. I would return in a heartbeat and recommend this place without hesitation.

This place is such a gem! They thought of everything and so many special touches. We stayed here after taking the boys to Cooperstown for baseball and it did not disappoint. We hope to come again!

Had a great stay at Russ’s place over a long weekend. The place matches the pictures and description very well and Russ has everything you need from cooking supplies, kayaks, paddle boards, gas and wood outdoor fire pits, etc. The driveway is very steep and could be an issue for older guests getting to and from the lake. However, for a group of younger guys in town for the Belmont stakes, it was perfect. The house is situated on a deeper part of the lake perfect for swimming and fishing. Would recommend staying with Russ.

Thoroughly enjoyed it perfect thank you so much for the extras that hardly any Airbnb provides! My husband says thank you so much for all the wood you provided it saved him from hauling it. We left our kayaks in North Carolina because they would make too much noise however we were surprised to find kayaks and fishing poles available for renters! You really should put that in your ad, may have been the decision point that we would’ve chosen for you It would be nice if all Airbnb were as accommodating as you guys were . based on the extras ! Hopefully nobody in the future takes advantage of you.

From the first communication to the last, Stephen was responsive, helpful, and a gracious host. The home was super clean with plenty of space. We had 7 people with us, and there was room for everyone to relax comfortably. Even on the rainy days. The bed was comfy, and the sheets wee soft. The fire pit in the back yard got plenty of use during our stay. It was so nice to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air and hear the birds chirping away. We also took advantage of the kayak and canoe, which we enjoyed very thoroughly. The lake was beautiful. I wish we had more time there.

Wonderful stay. Wish it wasn’t pouring rain so we could’ve enjoyed the beautiful patio and fire pit! The host was extremely accommodating and in great communication. Would definitely come back.

We loved this place. Very fun house, and Speculator is a great town. Fun local restaurants and beautiful surroundings. Only stayed a night on our way home from a road trip, and we wished we would have stayed longer. Definitely want to come back.

This was my first ever experience with AirBNB. I couldn't have stayed at a better location for my first experience! Melissa's home was warm welcoming and beautiful. I stayed for four nights with my four children. There was plenty of space for all of us. Although my youngest still chose to sleep with me lol the bed was still big enough for the two of us. The pool was absolutely perfect, my kids loved it! The hot tub was very relaxing and very easy to use. My kids really enjoyed it too. The grill worked wonderfully and the fire pit was great for smores. The covered patio made watching my kids enjoy the pool even more relaxing for me, I'm a ginger so if I can be outside and out of direct sunlight that's a huge bonus for me. The kitchen had everything we needed as well. Melissa was very responsive when I had questions and I cannot thank her enough for the great week. We'll be back next June for another week! Can't wait to return to this fantastic vacation spot!

Great hosts that make you feel right at home. We were greeted with some extra special touches that we were not expecting during our stay, that was very thoughtful. The space is exactly as pictured and very comfortable. We would definitely come back

We had an excellent stay at Jills. The space was very clean and well equipped with everything needed. The Hot tub was very enjoyable. Jill was a wonderful host and went above and beyond to assure our stay was great!

We had an excellent experience staying here. The apartment was spacious and clean, and was perfect for being a home base for attending a concert at SPAC this weekend. Juliann was easy to work with, always responsive to any questions I had after booking. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Nice quaint, quiet property. Everything was very clean and comfortable, plus pets allowed, as none of the local hotels allow pets unless service related. 10 minutes to visit family which was very convenient for us.

Had an excellent stay at Keith’s place! Everything was clean and as described. Keith even reached out to us to let us know we can check in early if we wanted. It’s literally 2mins from Skidmore which is the reason we were there and I couldn’t recommend it more. Will be back when we are in town again.

We were looking for a place to stay near our son in Ballston Lake and this one stood out. Historic and unique home. Beth was a great host, very responsive to any communication. The place met our needs and had a nice view of the Mohawk River in the back yard. Just be aware they are right on a highway so there is a lot of traffic noise, and there are 2-3 apartments in the place as well. But overall that was well described and expected and ear plugs worked just fine. Thanks for sharing your home Beth!

Great spot. well equipped. 15min walk to track/town.

This cabin is a small slice of serenity. It's cozy, but has everything you need and enough room to sleep a small family. Being right across the street from the lake was incredibly convenient and having access to kayaks was an added bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back again if we are in the area.

A really awesome place, ideal for relaxing and get energized without external distractions ! Limited network depending on your carrier, which was exactly what we were looking for! A bit chilly in mid October - as advertised - but Pam made everything to make sure we were comfortable ! I am pretty sure I will come back! Lots to do in terms of hiking, and activities in the cities nearby

This was a wonderful place to get away! It was clean, kid friendly, and peaceful. The information Scott provided was helpful and informative. It is located in a perfect spot, secluded but close to many activities. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies and a great selection of games for adults and kids.

Cute and cozy. Short walk through their own property to gorgeous Lake Luzerne. Sweet little stream right off the deck of the A-frame. Nice place to relax, and the owners were friendly and responsive--even reaching out to let me know place was available a bit earlier. We really enjoyed our stay.

It was a very peaceful and relaxing setting. Everything was great. Hot tub is new and worked great. We had a lot of rain and spent a lot of time inside. It was very cozy. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our short stay was nothing short of perfect! Even though we saw rain for most of the day after check-in we were more than comfortable under the trees and in the cabins. The main cabin was well insulated and we couldn’t even hear a bit of the frogs from the pond nearby. So clean with little homey touches that made it super cozy. Coco and Penny were an adorable bonus to the space and we hope to use this cabin again in the future.

We had a lovely stay at the cabin, it was truly the perfect getaway. We had parking and room to turn around, the house was secluded and private but still very close to town like 3 minute drive. The house was spotless, all the amenities were as listed and Ashley was super proactive and responsive. We felt right at home and I haven’t relaxed that well in years. We would love to come back if they will have us in the future!
