Papa's Hideaway- secluded cottage in Grayton on the lake

Welcome to Papa's Hideaway- the perfect spot for your family's vacation. Situated on a large lot on Western Lake in Grayton, this 2 bedroom 1 bathroom cottage is an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. The community of Grayton is in the center of all 30A has to offer. This historic town has an "old Florida" feel with old oak trees and, of course, the famous Red Bar. The shops/restaurants in Grayton and the beach are about a 3 minute walk from Papa's Hideaway. Although this charming cottage is steps away from all that Grayton has to offer, it is perfectly tucked away for privacy. Papa's Hideaway is on a corner lot protected by large pine trees. You enter the house through the large screened in porch. The porch has a wooden table with 4 chairs, a couch, and a large chair to relax and enjoy your morning coffee. When you enter the house, you are greeted by the living room, which has a wood burning fireplace, a couch, 2 large chairs and a flatscreen TV. The kitchen is adjacent to the living room and is stocked with pots and pans, cutlery, and glassware- ready for a home cooked meal! The stainless-steel refrigerator has a built-in ice maker. The stove top has 4 electric burners with an oven below. The master bedroom has a king bed with a wonderful view of the large yard. There is a flatscreen TV and 2 nightstands in the master bedroom. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds- perfect for the kids! There is another flatscreen TV in the second bedroom. The bathroom has a wonderful large glass shower. In the closet of the bathroom are the washer and dryer. The best part of the property is the dock on Western Lake. The dock is a great place to enjoy an evening cocktail or throw a line in the water to catch some fish. Papa's Hideaway also has a charcoal grill on the outdoor patio and an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. *No pets allowed* We can't wait to host you!

Historic Smith House, authentic cottage

Originally built in 1925, our renovation provides all the modern conveniences while maintaining its true southern “old Grayton” charm. Guests love the vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, wood floors, large screened porch, and the vintage Florida decor. We have a 7-night minimum during the Summer, with a Saturday check-in, and 3-night min during most of the year. The maximum number of guests is limited to four (4) persons, including infants and toddlers.
