A beautiful cosy space for us to curl up in while the storms continued outside. We were lucky to have a break in the wind and rain arohnd tea time to enjoy the sun on the mountains surrounding us while cooked outside too! Very pleasant people who've created a wonderful space to stay.

Scottish Highlands retreat overlooking Loch Alsh

GregRating, 5 stars9 months ago
Russell, Justin wanted to drop you a message to say Thank you very much for a fantastic stay at The Field House Avernish. Scotland and the Isle of Skye has been on our family bucket list for a very long time. We found it very difficult to leave this morning, we found the house extremely relaxing with the most amazing views of the loch that we can’t imagine you could ever get bored of. Greg particularly enjoyed the Jura coffee machine and is currently working out which one he is going to get on arriving back home. We didn’t get to do half of the things we wanted and definitely want to come back! Our highlights of the week were: SUPing around Eilean Donan castle, Fisherman’s Kitchen Haddock wrap, seeing lots and lots of seals at Kyhlea Otter Hide but actually seeing the otter from the window of the house the next morning! Thank you so much, we are very much looking forward to coming back!

Wildfirs Pod - Otter View Ratagan ( New 2024)

BethRating, 5 stars1 week ago
First of all, that view!!! It poured rain all day for the first few days of my week but i didn't care, I had a stunning water and mountain view and felt safe and cozy listening to the patter of rain on the roof. This was my first experience staying in a pod. It didn't feel small at all, though it was. Jamie thought of everything to make it comfortable, purposeful, and not cluttered. All the pans and cutlery, including sharp knives I needed to prepare meals. Binoculars to watch the porpoises, a giant TV with Bluetooth soundbar. And Jamie was an excellent host, checking on me without being intrusive at all. He went above the call when he changed my flat tire! I got too confident with those back roads and went too fast. Lucky for me it didn't go all the way flat until I got back the the house. Thank you, Jamie!! Get the tire insurance on your rental. ;) Those highlands roads are no joke. Worth it though, I couldn't believe the scenery. Great place, great experience!!!

A lovely, cosy little stay close to the Isle of Skye, with all the amenities you could possibly need. I'll likely stay here again next time I'm in the Highlands!
A lush green garden area is presented, bordered by a rustic wooden fence. Vibrant foliage is visible, including blooming shrubs and trees, while a scenic hillside featuring yellow flowering shrubs creates a natural backdrop. The space is ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities.

Duntrodden House

CharityRating, 5 stars10 months ago
This home was an absolute gem. The pictures don’t do it justice. The amazing woodwork and large glass windows allow for incredible views. It is private and the perfect place to hunker down or take a woodland walk. The only downside was that it takes quite awhile to get anywhere since the location was pretty remote, but that’s also part of the magic! Woops highly recommend.

3 Bed - 19th Century Farmhouse - Skye

LorraineRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had the absolute pleasure of staying in this beautifully restored farmhouse just over the bridge on The Isle of Skye. This location was perfect after a long journey and ideal for exploring Skye. The fireplace was lovely after an adventurous rainy day and Weronica replenished the wood upon request! The moment we arrived we felt cozy and right at home. The steps to the upstairs may be tricky for someone elderly as they are narrow but the open stairwell added charm. Plenty of closet space too. The beds were comfortable with lovely views and the kitchen had everything we needed. The washer/dryer takes a long time. Plan accordingly if you are doing laundry. While the view is beautiful, we arrived during midge season so we weren't able to enjoy the outside picnic table. Bring bug spray. The farm house is well designed with small foyer for coats and boots and to keep the bugs out. The farmhouse was a dream and we'll be talking about it for years to come. Highly recommend! Thank you!
