Unfortunately no dogs/children/ infants are allowed as we are a working sheep farm & surrounded by water. Nestled in a picturesque setting, it boasts stunning views of the surrounding countryside, making it an idyllic retreat for those seeking tranquility. The cottage has a cozy, inviting interior, featuring exposed stone walls and traditional design the cottage offers comfortable and well appointed accomodation. Inside there is a king bedroom and charming twin bedroom, providing versatile sleeping arrangements.

Kelpies Cottage is a cosy two-bed bungalow in Glentrool, the only village in Galloway Forest Dark Skies Park. It's a beautiful, peaceful, rural location. You can expect awesome starry skies, and if you're lucky, maybe even the Aurora. Glentrool is all about the outdoors, with plenty of biking, wild swimming and walking nearby. We are right in the heart of the stunning Galloway Forest and part of the UNESCO designated Biosphere, with trees, streams, lochs and mountains right on the doorstep.

Signal Box

The Signal Box is a cosy retreat to switch off in nature. On the edge of Galloway Forest Park and within the UNESCO Biosphere, it’s surrounded by wildlife. Culzean Castle and Country Park is a 40-min drive. Nearby, wild swimming is available at Girvan Beach, Galloway Forest Park, and the Water of Minnoch in Glen Trool. Galloway Forest highlights include scenic trails, Bruce’s Stone, and the Red Deer Range. On the edge of the Dark Sky Park, it’s perfect for stargazing.

Bridgeview, The Hollow

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay at Bridgeview in Creetown. Situated next door to woodland walks and rivers, the scenery is stunning. There is also a children’s play park next door for all the family to enjoy! Creetown hosts a gem stone museum and a heritage museum. Within a 20min drive there is also a Cocobean chocolate factory, Mossy yard beach, Kirroughtree biking trail and the red deer range park. All fantastic for the whole family!

Silver Ridge 2 House O Hill

Delightful quiet cottage located in the Galloway forest park making it an ideal location to explore from or take part in a wide range of outdoor activities. Located on the southern upland way, near Glentrool and Kirroughtree visitor centres, only 10 mins drive from Loch Trool and the base of the Merrick. The cottage offers comfortable warm accommodation with a wood burning stove, dining room and your own secure private garden making it ideal for pets

Located within the Galloway Forest Park (Britain's first nominated Dark Sky Park) in the small, tranquil village of Glentrool, surrounded by nature, with direct access to surrounding hills, ancient woodland, forest trails and Loch Trool. The Coorie, operated by the local community trust for the benefit of the community, provides modern bright, spacious accommodation for up to 5 guests who enjoy getting away from it all and enjoy the great outdoors.
