Beautiful house, garden and pool. Lovely hosts

Peaceful, quiet out of the way, rural. Kitchen well equipped. Nice bottle of wine and welcome note. Lying in bed lovely to see the sky, only saw the stars one night! Great being able to put the wood burner on because we had one cold night. Place is bigger than the photos betray. Good for a family, lots of bathrooms. Would recommend to others. Thanks.

We had a great time for 2 nights with family. Michèle is a very welcoming, available and accommodating host. The house is warm and the environment peaceful, exactly what we were looking for. We would recommend it in a second.

Sylvie, the owner is extremely welcoming, kind, friendly, and extremely responsive. Her home, gardens, pool house, flowers, trees etc. are absolutely beautiful! The pictures on the website do not convey the beauty and serenity of the place inside or outside. The home is very clean and organized and offers all you need for a relaxing vacation. When we have the opportunity to return this is where we would stay. Nearby are beautiful villages, a delicious boulangerie and charcuterie ! If you want to rest the area is exceptional. You will never be bothered by trains, planes or vehicles. It is also a perfect place to bring your dog as we did and we were able to take beautiful walks with him every morning. The walks were through the fields and forest and a village. The family was so very gracious with us and shared their time…We felt blessed as we felt like we were home. Very nice place, clean and has all you need; looks like in the pictures. Great location, easy to reach St Emilion and Bordeaux. Hosts were very nice, easy to communicate with them and very kind. Great location for longer vacations, not just 4 nights as we had.

Our stay was great! Derk and his wife were very attentive and warm hosts, who welcome us and explained all about the region. The house corresponds to the pictures: it is beautiful, comfortable and cozy, has all the needed appliances for a pleasant stay in the countryside. Bathroom and shower are really good quality, living room extremely comfortable with a nice woodfire and the TV is actually larger than you can tell from the pictures. The garden is the highlight of the house, with a stunning view and a relaxing outside area for meals. The villages in the region are nice, with little shops, restaurants and sight seeing. Great recommendation for relaxing vacations! We would definitely like to stay in the Gite again in the future :) (and we love Ramsi, the golden retriever). Thank you Derk and family, we had a great time!

Very good stay with Lucette. We were well received, the accommodation has a very beautiful garden and a large secure swimming pool that allowed us to enjoy safely with the children nearby. We'll probably be back! Thank you.

Friendly host and great location, close to the train station and the wedding venue we were in Podensac for.

We had a pleasant stay. The houses were friendly with a lot of space. All amenities are available, which made things much easier for us. Despite the fact that the weather was not in our favor, we were able to enjoy the pool which overlooked wheat fields and part of the forest. The host is very welcoming and did not hesitate to help us as soon as we needed it.

We had an absolutely brilliant stay with Tim and Sarah (and their lovely cats and dog!). The Old Goat House is truly something special – even more beautiful than the pictures suggest. It’s been restored with such care and character, and every detail made our stay feel relaxing and memorable. Tim and Sarah were wonderful hosts – welcoming, thoughtful, and easy to communicate with throughout. We left feeling completely refreshed and already look forward to returning one day. Highly recommend!

We felt very comfortable as a family with Nickolas. There is ample space for a family with multiple children. We were able to use everything and had a really nice time.

Leila and Craig are the nicest hosts I have met. They respond fast and are there for you to gave a good time. We also did a wine tasting which was amazing. They are so passionate and take the time to give you a great experience. The airbnb was a lovely little Gite with enough space for two. Everything is nice and clean and from the gite you have a nice view over the france hills. It is even possible to enjoy the view from the hot tub. To conclude, we had a lovely time and recommend the Gite from Leila and Craig!

A group of us were in the area for a wedding and this was the perfect place to stay which truly enhanced our trip. All the bedrooms are a fantastic size and have their own bathroom. The pool is a great size and is very nice to spend time in and around. The outside dining spot is very special. And the surrounding countryside us beautiful to view from the hill top location. We also made use of the very good quality bikes in the shed, the well-stocked kitchen and the BBQ.

We had a wonderful stay at Debbie's place. The location is perfect between Duras + Monsegur. It is just off a main road but you don't hear/see it, and the two houses nearby are very quiet, you don't really see anyone. we could sleep with the windows open because of the mosquito nets at the windows, and it's quiet every morning. The space inside was very big for a family of 4, the kitchen better equipped than any B+B I have ever stayed in. The pool had a small problem during our stay and Debbie responded immediately. The decking around the pool is slightly uneven, just to be aware with small children.

We loved our stay in the house. it had everything we needed. The pool was fabulous and the shaded area over the outdoor table was brilliant for the sunshine. I really loved the high ceilings and the shutters on the windows which helped everyone sleep so well. We were thrilled with all the place had to offer.

We had a great week at Nathalie's! Comfortable house, very well equipped and very conveniently located. Beaches as well as restaurants and large supermarket are not far (10-minute drive). Nathalie is a very caring host with easy communication. Great family vacation - to be recommended! Thanks Nathalie!

Very nice house: large living room, very nice bedrooms too. Well-equipped house for cooking. Games for children (outdoor slide and toys in the house). Communication was very simple and the hosts were very flexible. Anyway, I would recommend it!

Charming spacious accommodation tastefully decorated in the Saintonge countryside. The cottage is quite suitable for small children (crib, changing table, high chair etc.) and very functional for adults. Very well located for discovering the Gironde estuary, to be recommended!

WOW!! Just returned from a week at James & Eileen’s villa in Bourg to celebrate our parents 50th wedding anniversary . There were 14 of us- 9 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 children. All info provided prior to arrival by the hosts and the house mgt team (James, Lisa and Joe) was 5*! The check in/out & on hand support during our stay was absolutely flawless . This villa is stunning - more impressive than the photos! Bourg is a beautiful rural village and the villa was extremely spacious - perfect for family gatherings, beautifully decorated and felt sumptuous. Ambiance laid on for ourarrival& amenities for guests are unlike other private villas on offer for a party of our size .Felt immediately like a home from home.Pool was immaculate, all bedrooms beautifully furnished and living/lounge/cooking areas were of such a high standard. Villa in a superb location for exploring the vineyards. Recommend renting bikes to explore, enjoy BBQs at the villa, markets&citadel in Blaye. BOOK

A perfect stay at Cassandra's! We were 2 couples, and 4 children aged 4 and 1. The accommodation was beyond our expectations: the magnificent barn, kitchen with all the necessary amenities for the week, excellent bedding, large garden with shaded corners at all hours, superb terrace that stays cool all day, tons of children's games both inside and out.. the surroundings are very peaceful, and special mention for the superb beach on the Dordogne, shade all day and perfectly suitable for children. Go there without so much as a second thought! Thank you Cassandra for hosting us!

We loved our stay at Les Aubins. It is a very special house, beautifully designed and with fantastic facilities. Everything has been so well thought out and considered. We felt completely spoiled to stay in such a wonderful place! The pool was the perfect temperature and we really appreciated that it could be locked away with children in mind. The hot tub was lovely and we enjoyed using the bbq and pizza oven and eating all our meals outside on the covered terrace. Inside, the bedrooms are lovely and big with lots of interesting decor and the enormous reception room was wonderful to sit in. The kids particularly enjoyed the projector cinema experience. The house is extremely private and coming from a busy city, we particularly enjoyed the peace and quiet countryside location. There are lots of fun things to do nearby though with Duras castle, the Knights tournament and chocolate tasting at Maison Guinguet. Les Aubins is an absolute gem!
