On the island there are three galleries, dining area, the possibility of boat rental, as well as countless hiking opportunities in the fields and in the mountains. There are 5 bedrooms in the house with a total of 10 beds, which means that there is plenty of space.

We welcome open-air guests to our great cabin in Holmsundfjorden in Gildeskål, 1 hour drive south from Bodø. The cabin is idyllic and undisturbed all the way down by the sea. The cabin has a boathouse with a 14 foot boat with 10 HP outboard motor. The cabin also has a great, private sauna barrel right by the water, and an outdoor jacuzzi (this is new from July 2025). Formidable hiking and fishing opportunities await you in Gildeskål, and we are happy to suggest top trips and smaller family trips for you.

The whole group will be comfortable in this peaceful and spacious place. 4 bedrooms, private TV room, workplace with a view, dining area both in the kitchen and in the living room. Nice view from most rooms. Spacious terrace and large lawn. The house is newly renovated in its original 50-60s style, focusing on the environment and reuse. Sandy beach and the sea is just nearby. We have wild and beautiful nature around us on all sides, and bright summer nights as well as winter storms can be enjoyed here.

Here is kept the most of the history of the building, and it is warm and pleasant. The area is wonderful to, for example, visit Svartisen, the island kingdom or the many nearby majestic mountains.

We include kayaks in the rental and offer boat rental. There are several attractive fishing spots nearby. Indoors, you can enjoy the comfortable slate floor with underfloor heating and the fireplace in the living room.
