Welcome to this great holiday home in an idyllic location on Sandhornøy. The residence is on the seafront and has a fantastic sea view where you can watch the Hurtigruten drive by. The home is on 2 levels and has a practical layout and contains, among other things, 4 bedrooms, storage room, living room/ kitchen and bathroom. Great terrace that goes around large parts of the home so you can move around after the sun.

Large cabin with lovely views, boat and sauna

We welcome open-air guests to our great cabin in Holmsundfjorden in Gildeskål, 1 hour drive south from Bodø. The cabin is idyllic and undisturbed all the way down by the sea. The cabin has a boathouse with a 14 foot boat with 10 HP outboard motor. The cabin also has a great, private sauna barrel right by the water, and an outdoor jacuzzi (this is new from July 2025). Formidable hiking and fishing opportunities await you in Gildeskål, and we are happy to suggest top trips and smaller family trips for you.

The cabin is located about 3 miles from Ørnes and Inndyr which is the nearest center. Nearest grocery store 15 km Road to the door. The kitchen is well equipped. Dining area for 6. 1 large bedroom w/double bed, 1 m/ 120 cm bed + 1 m/120 + 90 cm bunk bed. Bathroom w/shower, WC and laundry. Bed linens, towels, soap or shampoo are NOT rented out.

Cabin in Gildeskål

Bring the whole family for fun in the main cabin at Cool Cabins, on beautiful Sandhornøy. Here you will find beds made, and everything you need for a nice stay. There is access to the beach on the property, fishing opportunities, as well as plenty of hiking opportunities and excursions nearby. We recommend a trip to Elias Blix cafe, possibly for the perfect trip up Sandhornet (993 meters). And maybe hosting can offer you guided tours by bike or boat.

Sigurdbrygga -Seahouse with view to eagles

Restored and charming seahouse from 1965. Brightly decorated house of 35 m2, with 2 small bedrooms on the loft. Living room has a dining area and a reading area. Modern kitchen with dishwasher, fridge / freezer, and bathroom with toilet and shower. Outside area with garden furniture and campfire pan. Yacuzzi can be rented for an extra fee on 600,- for a weekend or 800,- by the week.

Cabin on Engavågen

Simple and peaceful accommodation, which is centrally located. Here you can enjoy a late night with sunset and sea view. 3 sleeping places divided into 2 bedrooms inside the cabin and 3 sleeping places in the annex outside on the terrace. Here is the opportunity for bonfire, barbecue and relaxation with, among other things, board games, good food or just enjoy the silence.

Krokholmen is a scenic island in Gildeskål a short boat ride south of Bodø. The place is surrounded by extraordinarily beautiful nature with the possibility of a variety of adventures including paddling, climbing, as well as some of the top destinations Nordland has to offer.
