The Barn and adjoining house are over 300 years old the property being a former Gincase We are located in a small hamlet yet close to the local ammenities found in Cockermouth, Carlisle and the Harbour Town of Maryport, ideal for exploring the Solway Firth with views over to Scotland with its beautiful sandy beaches or perfect for visiting the Lakes and Fells.

The Barn is a beautifully refurbished retreat in a quiet corner of the Lake District National Park. Built in c.1870 as part of How Farm, The Barn is a very comfortable self-contained space which sleeps two adults and two children. It has a small garden, unique open living space incorporating the kitchen and lounge, lobby, shower room and large bedroom. The Barn is in a countryside location yet gives easy access to all the North West Lakes and the lesser known but very scenic West Coast.

Lake District Holiday Lodge with views of Skiddaw

Forest View Lodge is situated on a quiet site, which is located right on the Lake District National Park border, making it an excellent base for exploring the Lakes . The site has no amenities, however there is a garden centre tea room next door and a pub in the next village. Cockermouth is 10 minutes, Keswick 25 mins. The lodge sleeps 4 in two double bedrooms, both en-suite. There is a fully-equipped modern kitchen, and the decking is perfect for relaxing with a drink after a day exploring.

Two beautiful bedrooms one of which can turn into single beds and each with their own bathrooms offers flexibility for both couples and families. We have a well equipped cooks kitchen with Everhot range and a stocked larder. Parking for three cars , EV charger , bike storage , gardens and a BBQ this is a great base to enjoy the magic of our Lakeland valley.
