Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Ghent

We LOVED our stay at Esteban and Joroen's. We had been attracted to the listing by the beautiful photos of the lush garden, the first floor outside decking , the bright interiors and the sense of peace and calm that was radiating out from the pictures. It was amazing to discover that it felt exactly like we had hoped and looked just as the photos but even more so. Such a peaceful and tranquil setting with everything we could need and more. We enjoyed three blissful days of cycling into Ghent on the provided bicycles, exploring the town and enjoying the food and drink options at the vast array of pavement cafe's and bars. In the evenings , after a stop at the nearby supermarket on our way back from town, we enjoyed the hot tub and then some drinks on the decking as we watched the sunset before preparing and eating dinner to the sounds of the wonderful assortment of vinyl that is on offer. In the mornings it was yoga in the lounge, surrounded by the plants, and then a cuppa on the deck

It was all fine. Especially that bikes were there for use and the little garden. The location was quiet and pretty and not far from the center. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic time it was absolutely as described the pool was warm and we made full use of the basement pool table and the amazing cinema. Stijin was there to greet us and explain everything about the property. There were 6 of us 4 adults and two children lots of space . Would highly recommend anybody to rent this place for a perfect stay in Gent

What a lovely space! The house is tucked away in a quiet street, yet easily walkable to the city centre. The interior is beautiful, filled with natural lights and plants. Spending time in the house was very relaxing- such a treat. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful stay!

A very original and mindfully designed refuge in the heart of Gent. A perfect mix between vibrant city life and monastery-like refuge.

Adinda is very responsive and takes care of her guests. When we arrived there was coffee, tea, herbal teas, oil, vinegar... Unlike others who put coffee or tea for a day with an oil base, Adinda is generous and puts full boxes that don't even require a new purchase to compensate. The apartment is nice and clean. The separate toilets are nice. The proximity to the railway may put some off but it did not bother us. There are very few trains at night and we enjoyed watching the traffic while we had breakfast. We highly recommend this accommodation in a great location between Bruges and Ghent. Whether you're driving or taking the train, this place is perfect for visiting these two beautiful cities.

Lovely spacious art filled apartment with car park in peaceful location; it was like staying in an art gallery & we loved it. Short walk to bakeries, shops or tram/ train. Ideal base for exploring Brussels, Bruges, Ghent etc. John gave us some tips/ recommendations for our stay which were greatly appreciated.

The appartment is situated very close to the center what makes it really easy to visit Ghent just by walking. There are shops, bakeries and restaurants in the neighborhood. The place is clean, very cosy and comfortable- we felt just like home and it had all we needed. Certainly recommended !

A beautiful and tasteful apartment on the first floor, but really private with its own entrance. The bed was lovely, the shower was perfect, and the surroundings green. The center of Lokeren with many restaurants within walking distance (30 minutes), and Sabine and Steven are friendly and welcoming! We'd love to come back!

We stayed at Veerle's place as a small family with an infant. The instructions provided by Veerle for check-in were very clear, which made check-in very easy. The location is very central, only steps away from some of the main sights in Ghent and near good restaurants. The apartment itself is very large, with a nice central living space. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to nearly any type of traveler(s).

Tille's place is an excellent base to explore Ghent. The flat is clean, spacious, light and airy. It's walkable to the city centre and both stations are accessible by bus. Tille (and her son!) were great hosts - friendly, flexible and warm. It was a pleasure to stay here!

We spent a long weekend in Bert's charming flat. The location is excellent, most of the sights are within walking distance. There are also great cafes, restaurants and shops around the corner. The balcony overlooking the Leie is very nice. The flat is stylishly furnished and has everything you need. Bert was very communicative and friendly.

I had a great stay in Antwerp. Sjack is a fantastic host and his place is wonderful. It is very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Plus, it’s well located to transportation and an easy walk to most anywhere in Antwerp. I highly recommend this apartment!!

Great location in the outskirts of Ghent that we were looking for. Very quiet neighbourhood, always had free space to park right in front of the house. Good connection to the city centre with tram stop less than 5 minutes walk away. Lidl close by, few takeaways and Brasserie. The property was well looked after with massive living room and kitchen which I very liked, small cosy balcony at the back. Highly recommend this place and the host. If I come back in Ghent one day I definitely will be staying there.

Our group of 6 adults and 1 baby loved our stay at Bart's place and would definitely stay again if we ever find ourselves in Ghent. The location couldn't be beat. It was so nice in the morning to look out at the church through the windows, and leave the apartment right in the heart of Ghent. The main room was a great space for us to all hang out in when we were in the unit. Despite being right in a busy area, the windows were well insulated and we all slept well without being disturbed. We were able to do laundry in the unit which was a big help with the baby. Bart was very responsive and great with his instructions. He provided a crib for us for our stay which was so helpful, and a welcome bottle of wine. The only "negative" is that you need to pick up the key and drop-off the key at a location a ~10 minute walk away. It really was not an issue for us, but it adds a layer to the start and end of the journey to consider when booking.

Our stay was great! We picked it as it was central to the many places we wanted to visit throughout Belgium, though it’s located in a quiet neighbourhood. Condo was very clean and spacious. Only comment would be if anyone has limited mobility, the stairs to get to the upstairs bedrooms are a little steep.

Very nice accommodation! Practical space, in a convenient location. Walking distance from the city center and next to public transportation, supermarket nearby. In addition, Simon & Robin were quick and proactive in communication, they had good tips and were flexible around check-in and check-out. Recommended!
