We loved our stay in Wakefield. Lynda's place is so lovely and full of charm and character. Located right on the main street in Wakefield you're steps away from local restaurants, the boardwalk along the river, shops and walking trails. We visit Wakefield often and stayed here while our house was getting some work done. The apartment was clean, cosy and comfortable. Really enjoyable stay.

The apartment is superb and in a very good location. Right next to the lake, a grocery store and restaurants nearby, nothing negative to say. Hosts were quick to answer our questions.

Der's place is very peaceful, perfect for either a single person or a couple. It's also super close to Ottawa, just a 10-minute ride away!

I really enjoyed the stay and felt like home. I would come back If I decide to come to Gatineau again.

We have stayed in dozens of Airbnb in the US, Canada and Europe. Peter’s apartment is our all-time favorite—Spacious rooms, two bathrooms, well appointed kitchen and baths, and easy access. Peter is friendly and helpful, and the neighborhood is lovely—right on the Rideau River. 10 out or 10!

We had a wonderful stay at Marc's cottage. There was plenty of space for 6 of adults and 2 dogs. Having beach access as well as a hot tub have the best of both worlds. We really enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated plenty of host supplied wood, kindling & chairs and small touches like including marshmallow skewers. Marc was a great host and very fast to reply when we did reach out. We wouldn't hesitate to use this airbnb again!

Absolutely stunning setting and a very clean and well appointed rental. Charming vibe and super cozy set up. Amazing master suite and also very comfortable secondary suite. My family all felt “right at home” and we would definitely consider returning on our next visit to the Ottawa area. Jumped in the Ottawa River on May 18th and can attest to the cleanliness of the water and the nice sandy beach! Exceptional place to relax, refresh and recharge! The house was very beautiful and the environment very quiet. Everything is well equipped and well appointed. The only little thing that displeased us a little was that there was hair in one of the beds when we arrived. The dishes were also sometimes dirty, but I think it's the responsibility of the former tenants. The location is great, close to amenities.

This cabin was an absolute dream for our mothers' first visit to Canada! We were looking for something special, and this place exceeded all expectations. The location was ideal – a perfect blend of natural beauty and proximity to the city. What truly amazed us was how much more beautiful it was in person compared to the already great photos. The serene lake view, the perfectly stocked kitchen, and the immaculate cleanliness all contributed to an unforgettable stay. You can feel the warmth and care in every detail. The hosts were also fantastic, with quick and kind communication. They even helped us retrieve keys we'd accidentally left behind! We can't wait to return and highly recommend this incredible retreat.

Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

Great location by the river. Peaceful minus the mosquitos. 10 mins from groceries and the sports complex.

We had a lovely getaway. The location is very convenient, close to the city but secluded and peaceful! Our kids loved it and hope to return soon with the whole family. Thank you!
