Lakeside Cottage is beautiful, peaceful, steeped in history & easy to access once you know where it is, we drove past it 3 times lol. We were greeted with gorgeous fresh flowers in each room & a very tasty bottle of prosecco. Most Definitely will be going back at some point in the near future & can't recommend it enough as a quiet getaway - listening to the river Ayr was blissful!!

Beautiful little cottage. Loads to do without leaving the front door including hot tub, fire and BBQ. Area and garden is stunning! Jane was very helpful and communicative on check in and check out, very friendly! Clean and as described in photos.

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

We had a fantastic time at The Stables celebrating our rescue greyhound’s fifth birthday - she got to run around happily in the enclosed garden whilst we enjoyed our complimentary Prosecco in the hot tub!Secluded location, relaxing and everything you could need thought of by Paul & Fiona. Teapot Cottage is a beautiful place to stay. It was very well kitted out, decorated very nicely, and had lots of nice touches to make our stay even better. Lammisa was a great host - very responsive and friendly, and was happy to help whenever needed. There's great local amenities within walking distance, and several local villages and towns within a short drive, including Ennerdale Lake. The place was very comfortable, with plenty of seating indoor and out, with several comfy beds suitable for a group of adults. The only thing to be aware of is that the bedroom with the bunk beds has very little storage space, so if you're staying for a few days and have a large bag/suitcase - you'll need to find somewhere else to put it! Overall - we were all very pleased with this stay and we'd definitely book again in future.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place and friendlier helpful host. Kathryn was attentive and was very responsive, always friendly and helpful. This cottage is very spacious, modern and clean. We really enjoyed our time here. We are already planning when to go back. The views from the windows and the hot tub are beautiful. There is so much to do, we needed much longer to explore more areas and go on more walks. We would definitely recommend this place.

Spotless accommodation in the most beautiful location. The instructions to find the place were spot on. All towels, bedding, dishes and glasses were of a really high standard. We felt right at home. Being on a working farm we were up close n personal with the alpacas and lambs. It was fab! Close to a lovely pub we were able to walk there. Right on the water so we could swim and paddleboard. Loved everything about this place.

We had a fantastic stay. The property had plenty of room for our small family and dog. The location is so picturesque, we wish we didn't have to leave. There's beautiful walks to be had nearby and the drive out to the nearest villages or towns are quiet and stunning. Amber and Chris were very responsive and gave us loads of ideas for things to do. We would highly recommend visiting, and I'm sure we'll be back in the future. Thank you for being such great hosts.

The house was beautiful and the direct access to the beach was a lovely bonus. The village has a great, dog friendly, pub and cafe which was perfect for us.

We spent a week at The End and had a great time, the views were beautiful and the cottage is much bigger than the photos show, plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 kids. Great location for most of the Lake District. Would highly recommend and would come back. Kids really enjoyed the swing in the garden.

Zoe was great in communicating and the property is indeed a rare find. The garden was unique and our Labrador loved it.

Lovely stay, accomodation was clean and had everything we needed, lots of useful bits in the cupboards! Some great recommendations for walks, the lake district never disappoints even when it's wet! The accomodation was great to come back to to warm up after long walks and relax! Thank you Leah, can't wait to be back!

The property was splendid, super location and peaceful which is what I wanted, lots of walking spectacular views the house was warm with a homely feel, beds were super comfy and everything was there that was needed for a perfect stay. I will be returning.

An exceptional Airbnb. Gina is a great host and the attention to detail at the property is second to none. A real home from home. The views from the property are wonderful. The property is remote, but with that, you get peace and quiet and there is an amazing amount of countryside and coastline to explore nearby. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Wonderful stay at Strawberry Cottage. Location was amazing so we could make the most of everything Keswick has to offer. Very homely cottage, very comfy beds and lots of local information available. Beautifully decorated too!

Just spent a peaceful 2 nights in the Swift Cottage. Really enjoyed our stay. Spotlessly clean. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you need. One of the nicest Airbnbs we have stayed in Would definitely stay again. Thanks very much.

A great Airbnb in the traditional fashion we enjoy: ie hosts live next door and greet you in person. The cottage itself is 5* and the garden a delight. Thoroughly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay, perfect getaway for a couple and so close to the local amenities. Centre of town less than 5 minute walk and not much longer to walk to Derwent water. Hosts left some delicious home made brownies and were super helpful with questions. Free parking pass in local car parks as no parking on the road. Cottage is on a small busy road so a bit noisy at times and loading up to leave was tricky. Overall we highly recommend this cottage, we felt so at home and really enjoyed the open log fire which was made up and ready to light.

My wife and I stayed 4 nights at Crook a Beck Barn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this property. It is well equipped, with a great kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space and a large walk in shower alongside a large bath. It is in a peaceful setting with beautiful views and has all levels of walks available straight from the property. We enjoyed the extras especially the lemon drizzle cake made by Judith. We will definitely books this property again on our next visit to Patterdale.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The position of the cottage was perfect being walking distance from Kirkcudbright while being peaceful. We loved watching the red squirrels from the lounge window. We also had visits from deer and saw lots of bats. Anne was a perfect host and was very friendly and approachable. The only possible downside was the wifi connection which could have been better.

I would move here tomorrow. Such a perfectly quiet getaway at the foothills of Skidaw surrounded by nature and with a kind and caring host. Thank you for everything Alison and we cannot wait to come back and see more ducklings soon xx
