Private and quiet self contained hotel style Suite located at the rear of the building including deck space with the gulf right across the street (not visible from the suite). Located in the heart of the seawall entertainment district, you’re walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping. This space is ideal for a couple but can accommodate up to 4. 1 dog under 45 lbs allowed with pre-approval & the dog takes the place of a person. This is a carriage house, located behind our home that was built in 1910. The backyard space is ENTIRELY PRIVATE to our guests while you are here! We are located right in the center of the Island. We are less than a mile from the beach, and downtown. Located on one of Galveston’s most beautiful historic streets. Ave O. Which is a one way street that travels from the east to the west end of the Island. Park here for free if your going on a cruise! I’ll take you to the cruise ship & pick you up.

The 1847 Powhattan House & Living History Museum

Until there is time-travel, staying in the 1847 Powhatan House may be the next best thing. This is the 3rd oldest house in Galveston and has an amazing, almost unbelievable history. This beautiful Greek Revival style home is located 3 blocks from the beach and close to the Strand. The story of the house is told in a brief documentary on YouTube entitled “The Amazing History of Galveston's 1847 Powhatan House.”
