Saffron is ideal for couples, solo travelers and friends. We are an adults (16 +) only property focused on giving guests a tranquil stay to relax, rejuvenate and recharge. The villas are designed to embrace tropical contemporary living. The finishes, furniture and furnishings have a strong coastal flair ensuring that the vibe is completely laid back. The kitchens are fully equipped for guests to whip up light or for the more passionate cooks gourmet style meals. The stucco pools are heavenly to frolic in for hours on end. Guests have easy access to the beach via a private path. The two sweetest jack russels live in the owners compound close by. You might come across them in the parking lot. Their names are Chilli and Pepper! Local Habitat: Diani comprises of large patches of coastal indigenous forest. The fauna includes species of monkeys, bush babies, birds, insects, geckos, suni deer. Guests will come across this rich fauna during their stay at Saffron.

The apartment is so close to the water that you don't have to put on your shoes to get to the beach. It is located in the Tamani compound and is behind four beach houses but has easy access to the pool and the beach. There is currently construction in the compound next to ours and the noise levels are erratic. The Sails Seafood Restaurant is next door. Access to other restaurants and shops are within a short tuk tuk ride. Fishermen visit daily with fresh fish that the chef will cook for you.

We really enjoyed our 6 days at James house in Msambweni. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The only detail that should be clarified is that you need to provide your own drinking water. We had been made to understand that drinking water was available on site, however after arriving with our bottles nearly empty we were then told water needs to be brought. So we spent the first night thirsty until we were able to arrange a delivery of water the next day around 9AM. Otherwise everything was totally good, and we definitely recommend the place.

Galu Salama - Peaceful paradise

My family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Galu Salama. Anni’s property is beautiful - very peaceful and quiet, away from the touristy areas of Diani. We spent hours in the immaculately clean pool. We slept well in the rooms that were spotless and cool thanks to the air conditioning. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with cooking supplies. The housekeeper, Nancy, welcomed us with fresh fruits and made us feel right at home. The house manager, Renson, took care of all our needs - from coordinating tuktuks for transport to sourcing and serving us fresh coconuts! Our kids enjoyed asking Renson all about coconuts and the mini lesson they got about the types of coconuts and its use in local cuisine. Thank you Anni for hosting us - we hope to visit again in the future if we are in Diani again!

The home was exceptionally clean, peaceful, and perfect for a family getaway and to top it all it was just a 5mins walk to the beach ⛱️. What truly made our stay special was the people. George and Saa, the staff, were warm, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Their hospitality made us feel right at home. And Mary, the host, was simply wonderful—kind, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive to every detail. She made sure our experience was perfect from start to finish. We can’t wait to come back again. Beautiful peaceful spot with lots of space inside and outside and easy access to quiet beach. The staff on site were very kind and helpful. The house has a relaxed, easy going charm that made it comfortable to be there with children. We enjoyed it!
