Winter: Park at ski shop. Ski in/out cabin is ON the trail system. Private, cozy, fully equipped cabin at Garnet Hill in the ADK forest. Gas fireplace, grill and screened in porch. Steps from hiking trailheads. Access (not lakefront) to protected 13th Lake with sandy beach. Two one-seat kayaks come with the rental. Mountain biking (cabin is on the trails), white water rafting, and tubing nearby. Please note: this is a NOT a hotel/condo or business Airbnb. it has been in our family for 30 years!

Waterfront Artist Retreat

Our camp is located the heart of the Adirondacks in upstate NY . It is a beautiful four season cabin on Lake Abanakee . The camp is adorned with Adirondack art and furnishings made by my artisan friends and I. Lake Abanakee is a favorite for canoes, kayaks, photographers, fishermen and families. Enjoy glamping in our new screened in lean to or swimming and boating from our private beach. Although our camp looks like a rustic retreat, we have high speed internet and all the modern conveniences.

Our camp is located in the foothills of the ADK state park and situated along the banks of the West Canada Creek. Enjoy DIRECT access to the creek for fishing, tubing, ect. Minutes away to annual Snow Bash events. A short drive to Hinckley, Kayuta, and Piseco lakes. Close access to snowmobile trails that extend across NYS. A 45 minute drive to Utica. Camp Shady is nestled on a few acres of pristine land with a stocked Trout Stream running thru the property. There is a great big fire pit with wood to burn, horseshoe pits and massive pines around the property. It has been all remodeled and is ten minutes from Gore Mountain. There is a television with lots of DVD's, access to the internet & cell phone reception on the premises. There is a landline, board games, and an JBL speaker to play your music thru. Birches Cottage is part of Four Seasons Cottages on 4th lake. Birches is a cozy camp with 2 bedrooms both with queen beds, a bathroom with a tub and shower. It is very near our sandy beach where we have Adirondack chairs for guests to use while watching the sunrise over the Lake. We only rent by the week in July and August with check in and out only on Saturdays. we have Adirondack chairs on beach, WIFI TV pillows, blankets/comforters, please bring your own sheets and towels.

The rugged primitive siding was harvested from on-site cedar trees; the knotty pine interior was locally sourced. Friends gifted a claw foot tub and historic farm house sink.
