It has a small living room, a kitchenette stove with 2 burners, fridge and microwave, an internal bathroom, and a bedroom with two twin beds on the upper floor. It has independent heating, hot water, and all the necessary cooking equipment. It was a small dairy from the 18th century until 30 years ago and is all in local stone, philologically restored. Relax with the whole family at this spacious place to stay. Close to the town centre and surrounded by mountains, it is the perfect base for nature and sport lovers. The house is within a quiet internal courtyard, with private parking (front patio). It offers a fully equipped kitchen, three bedrooms and a cosy living room with sofa bed. The bathroom has a newly fitted washer-dryer. To note, the heating system is a pellet (wood) burner only, and so rentals are in spring, summer or early autumn.

Gian’s apartment is located in a gorgeous location, with 360° mountain views. Although the town is small, there are still some shops nearby, and some restaurants. Lots of beautiful hikes available in the area. My wife, daughter, and I visited in May, and the apartment can definitely get cold throughout the day, and night time. It is possible to heat the place with firewood, available at DeSpar nearby. The heaters will blow the fuse if operated at the same time, as some other reviews mentioned, but if everything is turned off at night (including the water heater), you can close all doors, and heat one room with the electric heater no problem. Great stay overall with no issues.

A fantastic stay. Roberto will personally catch you and bring you to the house. After a short instruction, he immediately says goodbye so you can land and unpack in peace and quiet. If there is anything, you could always reach out to him. We were even allowed to check out from him later so that we could have a nice day in Italy on the day of departure. Top host!

We really enjoyed staying in the house. It was secluded but near people, has a lovely flowing river across the road; lots of villages and forests and spectacular mountains nearby. Villa Cecone is worth visiting as are the caves. Bed is comfortable. We also loved Gelindo’s family restaurant about 25 mins away. Friendly and helpful staff and very good food and wine. We enjoyed our stay and Gelindo’s prompt response to our questions.

The farmhouse was fantastic, neat and clean, cool on hot days, roomy and just wonderful. We didn't realize that transportation would be such a big deal...we rented a car for a week, but were too scared to drive, so were quite dependent on our family to drive us around - highly recommend renters get a car! But overall, the place is a total delight...the visiting grandkids and their dog loved running around the huge yard, the place is *quiet*, the storks and ibis amazing and we even saw a big jackrabbit. Thank you soo much, Manuel, for your kindness hosting us.

Justine's review is absolutely spot on and so beautifully written, there is not much more we can offer other than a resounding endorsement! My husband and I were fortunate to have stayed in Silvio's lovely apartment for a week and could have happily remained for an entire month. Easily one of the most memorable, comfortable, and relaxing properties we've ever rented, and the perfect location for exploring the wonderful region of Friuli -Venezia Giulia. And if you need a change of cultural pace, be sure to enjoy the close-by enchanting nature preserve and mountain trails. Silvio and Nataly were exceptional hosts, only adding to the optimal level of our stay - do not hesitate to book and try to add a few extra days to soak in all that this delightful town and area have to offer - there's much more than prosciutto, as delicious as it is. We can't wait to return!
