Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Frio River

We brought my in-laws here for a birthday celebration and everyone had a great time. You never need to leave unless you want to because there’s plenty to enjoy! We loved the river access and using the pavilion to barbecue and hang out.

This place absolutely exceeded all our expectations! The cabins were fantastic, and the sunset views from the hot tub were truly unforgettable. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, the living room offered plenty of space to relax, and the beds were very comfortable. The host was exceptional—responsive, easy to work with, and made sure we had everything we needed for an amazing trip. We had a wonderful time and will definitely be returning!

The house had a beautiful view from the balcony and we enjoyed the hot tub for the cool evenings. It was secluded but yet close the downtown Bandera.

We just stayed one night but we loved the house. There was plenty of room and loved the interesting decor. The riddle was good fun and the location was absolutely perfect right by the pioneer museum. Would definitely recommend!

This is our 3rd time staying here. It feels like our home in Kerrville. Stephen and his wife Cathy are wonderful people, and we enjoyed meeting them. All the bars and wine of Kerrville are only 10 to 15 minutes away. The peace quiet and beautiful views of the hill country are steps away on the deck. My favorite activity was to wake up early and take a run by the river trail, stop by Mary's for tacos and bring back breakfast and enjoy on the deck. It's a great start to a great day.

Just here for a night and half a day, left me wanting to rebook next time I’m in Kerrville. Private, safe, really scenic views to take in from the porch and the river area. Beds were really comfy, good AC. Had a good swim in the river with my family and easy to take out some paddle boards we had with us

The stay was wonderful! We loved all the space for our family. There was so much to do for the kids, which made for a fun and relaxing trip. I enjoyed sitting by the pool and watching them play and swim and then the foosball table and air hockey were a lot of fun once we went inside. Everything was clean and well stocked. The hosts are kind and responsive. We’re already wanting to plan another stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Container Haus! Everything was as described without any issues at all. The hosts were proactive with instructions, location was easy to find and close to everything in town, but the views felt like you were out in the country. We used the cowboy pool multiple times, it was such a nice mid afternoon treat after our Texas heat! Beds and linens were comfortable. The Haus had everything we needed, even an iron and board. I highly recommend!!!

Great peaceful quiet place love the atmosphere very peaceful. I can’t emphasize on beautiful and relaxing.

Stayed at Danielle’s for a weekend with some girlfriends and it was the perfect spot. Its close location to Main Street meant we were a quick car ride away from all the shops and restaurants. We even walked once and it wasn’t bad at all. The house is lovely. Lots of space for the 5 of us. Pool was a little cold so we used the Hottub mostly. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook one of the nights. Would definitely come back.

We loved our stay at Kim's ranch! The house had so many daily necessities that all I needed to do was order my groceries. The kids were never bored and Otis was too cute. If we're ever back in the area, I know where we're staying. 😊

We wanted peace and relaxation and we got it! We spent our honeymoon on Gracie’s property, and it was lovely. Had access to hot tub, pool, and fishing dock. Close to town. Host is super sweet and accommodating. Hope to get back soon.

Great place to stay. A walk away from the river, and has all the supplies to get on the water. We will definitely be going back.

Beautifully preserved rock house with original charm.

Cabin fit most of our needs. Peaceful surroundings with lots of wild turkeys and deer. We found 3 different water areas that were enjoyable…1 is walking distance and about 3ft in depth at its deepest, other 2 are a very short driving distance and about the same depth at the deepest. Kitchen has basic items so bring additional seasonings/baking sheets/etc if you plan on doing a lot of cooking. Blanca was quick to respond to all of my questions. The cabin is on a ranch with other homes surrounding it but you won’t even notice; all you hear are the birds and deers calling.

We loved our stay. Had everything we neaded in the house. Very comfortable & cozy. Loved the peacefulness & serenity of it. Was a little further out than we anticipated from anywhere but was told that in advance. The wildlife was awesome. The kids loved the outdoor shower. Definitely recommend to others.

Look no further! This peaceful, relaxing retreat is fantastic! The pool is perfectly situated in the serene backyard. Spend the day in Fredericksburg, and the next in San Antonio. There’s so much to do just a short drive away. Our group loved staying at this house and cannot wait to book again!

The cabin met our needs. It was located where we wanted to be. Very close to the center of Leakey, maybe 1 mile. It is a cabin, not a resort, as Beau mentioned. A few things to note: Take caution if you have little ones. The beds in the loft are about 2 feet from the edge that looks over the kitchen- no barrier. My kids were fine. The beds in the loft have to be made, so plan on climbing up. Leakey has had a lot of rain lately (YAY!) which means vicious mosquitoes. Bring repellent for when outside. Cool enough for us in May during a rain storm, but you might want to bring a fan for hotter or drier months. There are some basics in the kitchen but maybe not everything you need, i.e. a hot pad holder. We had a very short trip, but it really saved us having a cabin instead of tent camping due to the pop-up storms coming through.

We always enjoy our stay here. We love seeing the birds at the feeders on the porch. It's a great location for visiting Lost Maples State Natural Area.
