House vacation rentals in Frio River

Our family of 14 had more than enough room to have different activities at one time. Pool was a blessing and family enjoyed evenings swimming and playing. Sleeping accommodations were perfect for our family as well. Was close enough to attractions which was also a plus. Thank you for sharing your home this past week.

Our family loved staying at The Palomino! The inside of the house is very clean. The backyard/pool and air conditioned all season room were perfect for relaxing after busy days exploring San Antonio! The house is about 30 minutes to all major sites in San Antonio (Riverwalk, The Alamo, Japanese Tea Garden, etc.). Thank you, Seyri and Francheska!

⸻ This was, without a doubt, my favorite Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in—and I’ve stayed in many! From the moment we arrived, it felt like peace and beauty wrapped into one perfect place. The setting was serene, the home was spotless, and every detail was thoughtfully designed to help you truly relax and let go of any stress you walked in with. The farmhouse exceeded all expectations. Honestly, our favorite day of the trip was the one where we didn’t leave the property—we just stayed put and soaked it all in. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the pillows were amazing, and the outdoor space (including the pool!) was everything we could’ve hoped for. There’s not a single thing I would change. We will absolutely be back, and I recommend this place without hesitation to anyone looking for a peaceful, restorative getaway. Simply perfect.

Beautiful home and neighborhood, not far off from any river entrance spots. Claudia, the hostess, is very responsive and helpful, the instructions and visuals you get to the home were clear and easy to follow. Over all, our stay was an amazing experience.

We had a wonderful time at this place. The host was quick to respond and very friendly. We loved it so much!! Such a beautiful home and very clean!! We hungout by the pool and hot tub all day, cooked out, made s'mores.. this house had everything!

Spent the weekend floating the river. The house was perfect for our stay! The pool was very nice along with the location. Super close to stores, restaurants,etc. only 10 minutes from happy hollow our favorite river spot to float!

5 stars – A Perfect Stay! I had a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb! The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. Everything was spotless, and the amenities provided made the stay feel extra special. The bed was cozy, the kitchen was well-equipped, and the little touches like fresh towels and local recommendations were much appreciated. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, always available to answer questions and ensure everything went smoothly. Check-in and check-out were simple and stress-free. The location was also fantastic—quiet and peaceful, yet close enough to everything I needed. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

Lovely and private location on the Frio. The home has a wonderful floorplan featuring two living spaces. Upstairs has 2 bedrooms, living area, large dining area and elevated outdoor patio that gets a nice breeze in the evening. The downstairs has a bedroom but an additional 3 futon that the kids enjoyed sleeping on and a full bathroom. The downstairs area also has a large covered patio area. The home has a well stocked kitchen, is very close to restaurants, stores & Garner State Park. We will definitely stay here again. Temple was quick to reply and very helpful with questions I had. The coffee maker has both drip and pod options. There is not a dishwasher so you will need tonhandeash dishes. We got paper plates to make it easier when our group was larger. There are several stores in the area for groceries but I recommend getting most before you get to Leakey as they will be cheaper.

Our family of four spent four nights here. It’s such a unique spot, with the house being just above a shallow part of the river running over rocks. The sound is incredibly peaceful. The property has a long riverfront that you can enjoy, ranging from the rocky shallow areas to a deeper section where you can start canoeing. We used one of the canoes, plus there was one single kayak and one SUP. A 15-20 minute paddle puts you at Angel Falls which is a beautiful area to splash in the water or just relax. We caught some little bass along the way. The area has fun activities as well, including The Point Theater and Crider’s Rodeo & Dancehall. The house itself could have been cleaner but the location felt so amazing that we didn’t really care. So thankful for the opportunity to stay at this magical property! Truly unique!

Wonderful well-equipped house with nice furniture, very clean and well maintained, spacious patio overlooking gorgeous landscape right on the river. It was exquisite kayaking on the peaceful river and meditating with the ducks.

My family and I had a great stay. The house was great, and the river was easily accessible and perfect for sitting or kids riding some rapids. The best part for us is that the river was secluding to our area so we didn’t have to worry about any other people, we had lots of little ones and they were able to play. We will definitely be booking again in the future.

The pool was a huge hit, especially with the kids, and the view was absolutely stunning—we loved spending our mornings and evenings taking it all in. The home itself is beautifully maintained, stylish, and welcoming. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Very nice and cozy ranchito cabin. Easy to access and spacious inside and outside. Family oriented and very friendly hostess. Would definitely recommend.

The view is astounding and the home is really nice with plenty of room and good beds. Sky View is the most beautiful, peaceful, and quiet location we’ve ever experienced. Valerie and Keith were always available and had great tips for nearby attractions. Thanks for the Texas sized hospitality.

Look no further! This peaceful, relaxing retreat is fantastic! The pool is perfectly situated in the serene backyard. Spend the day in Fredericksburg, and the next in San Antonio. There’s so much to do just a short drive away. Our group loved staying at this house and cannot wait to book again!

Brent was responsive and attentive from the time we booked through the time we checked out. The guide attached after the booking provided a lot of great information about the typical things you would have questions about. The property was private and secluded. The house had almost everything you would needed to pretty much 'check in' and unplug & relax. The deck was a lovely area to enjoy our morning coffee and take in the scenic and peaceful surrounding. Enjoyed the river! Lost Maples was so close by and a beautiful place to hike!
