Our house is centrally and quietly located in a recreational park that borders the Westhoek nature reserve. Hiking trails through nature reserves and a large network of signposted cycling routes along the coast and in the hinterland. Veurne, Ypres and Bruges are not far away for a day trip. You can enjoy the facilities of the park: swimming pool in the summer, playgrounds, soccer field, tennis courts. Plopsaland at 1 km, the French border at 1 km, on foot through the nature reserve at 2.5 km to the sea.

Gîte de l'Abbaye d'Etrun and its green park

The cottage is the oldest house in the village, it guarded the entrance to the Abbey of the Benedictines of Etrun. The Abbey was founded in 980 and destroyed during the revolution in 1789. The whole has been listed as a Historic Monument. In 1815 Cardinal De La TOUR d'AUVERGNE decided to build his "Summer Residence" of which the surrounding walls still exist, as well as some period elements. In 1915, General Pétain made it his headquarters and commanded the Battle of Artois from these places.

This amazing vacation home guarantees fun with the whole family or with friends. The private swimming pool is heated from April 1 to November 11, and the cozy outdoor sauna is always accessible. There are also 2 bathrooms and 2 separate toilets. The dense location of the Belgian coast and tourist cities such as Bruges are huge assets. The vacation home with sun terrace is completely separate between the fields without any view from neighbors.

Eikenburg Manor is a reconstruction farm (after WWI) with an over-accentuation of various building elements from that time. It is a duplex apartment with the living area downstairs (dining and sitting area) and the 3 bedrooms (2 queen- size beds and 2 single beds) and 2 bathrooms upstairs (1 with shower and 1 with bathtub). There is a toilet on each floor. The separate kitchen contains all modern conveniences.
