Vacation rentals with a fireplace in French Broad River

I had a little trouble getting in with the keypad, but that is probably more about my lack of knowledge with keypad entries. 😂 The home was spotless when we arrived and we filled it with lots of laughter and fun! The back deck was amazing - even in a gentle rain. And, our last night there we enjoyed a fire in the fire pit. Mike and Cate were INCREDIBLY helpful and communicative. They answered every question within minutes and made us feel well taken care of. Departure was easy and they requested minimal prep for departure. They made staying at their home easy and comfortable. 👍

Brenda's place is fantastic - cute, clean, peaceful, and well stocked with everything I needed. It's a short walk to the lake, which is beautiful. Brenda was on top of communication and allowed us a late checkout. I would definitely stay again.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay here! The view from the living room is spectacular on its own - not to mention the layout of the home is one of envy. I was taking notes on the tasteful and charming decor. We were lucky enough to be here on an evening when a storm was rolling in. Watching it approach from the porch was so incredibly relaxing. The only downside is there aren't really trails or anything close by, but I think the serenity and privacy you achieve on this property is second-to-none. We will definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay, Deborah had good communication! Beds were comfortable and great location for outdoor activities near by. Canton within 15 min drive, everything you would want: grocrey, restaurants and good coffee shop!

I already miss The High House! From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was something special. The porch quickly became my favorite spot—I could have spent all day soaking in those breathtaking views. We were lucky enough to visit during firefly season, and watching the fireflies put on their magical show was truly unforgettable. Our evenings around the campfire, making s’mores, were such a treat. My 9-year-old boys loved exploring the property, making new friends with the host’s sweet and welcoming children, and discovering tortoises, baby kittens, and playful sheep along the way. The beds were super comfortable, and the location was perfect for all our adventures—whitewater rafting, zip lining, gem mining, and chasing waterfalls. One of the highlights was ordering baked goods and a dinner from our wonderful host, Sharon. It was hands down the best meal we had during our trip! Our stay was pure magic, and I can’t recommend The High House enough! Thanks for the memories!

The house was exactly like the pictures. Very welcoming and responsive host. The home was has beautiful views and a great hot tub! And fully stocked with everything you will need. I would highly recommend the home.

Third stay in three years…and we live 30 minutes away! That’s how much we love staying here! The schoolhouse is close to tons of hiking, and convenient to both Maggie Valley and Waynesville for shopping and other "town-like" activities. Christy is always awesome to communicate with and we WILL be back for a fourth time!

Lovely home in a beautiful and private location. The perfect place for a trip to the Blue Ridge that is both cozy and modern. Hosts were responsive and helpful. Short distance to downtown Waynesville. Would love to stay here again.

This was the most well thought out and equipped Airbnb that we have ever stayed at! Don thought of everything you could possibly need or want! Water bottles on every table, snacks and an amazing coffee bar, an LED full length mirror in both bedrooms! A well stocked bathroom with everything you could need, just in case you forgot something. Corn hole, board games, glow in the dark gold putting green, jacuzzi and don't get me started on that breathtaking view! Truly, the most well planned Airbnb! This was the perfect location to bring our daughter up for WCU orientation. I'm so glad I already booked for her move in weekend in August! We will always stay here, if it's available, when we come and visit her at school. Such a perfect stay!

Our family is always grateful to stay at Mary Ann's beautiful property! We've stayed here multiple times now and hope to continue to do so whenever our travels take us through the Asheville area. This property is truly a gem - peaceful, beautiful mountain view, a tree swing, lots of greenspace for the kiddos to run around outside after long car rides, comfortable big beds, a lovely bathroom, cozy living room and lots of much appreciated extras in the kitchen like KCups and creamers, pop tarts, waffles, water and juice. And if you ever need anything, Mary Ann is super responsive. It truly feels like a respite for us along long family trips, like getting to stop at a home away from home. We love this special place! I have lived in a lot of places over the past year while traveling for school, and this was the best of the bunch. Everything was great, including a clean comfortable space, available toiletries, efficient appliances, simple check in and out, amazing 10/10 mountain view.

Stayed in this lovely basement walkout apartment on a long cross country trip. The rental includes a good sized living area, vanity and make up mirror, bedroom, bath and deck with garden. The parking is in the rear giving easy access to the unit. The unit is newly renovated and tastefully decorated with an especially attractive bathroom. My daughter and I appreciated the robes and spa items as we had been traveling for quite a bit and this was so thoughtful and welcome. Someone mentioned inadequate night lighting in a review but this has been remedied in style. Had the best sleep in our whole cross country trip in a secure neighborhood that is very convenient to downtown and the Biltmore.

Beautiful place. Hosts are nearby but you have all the privacy you could want. Beds very comfortable and the hot tub was wonderful after hiking. Location is great for Pisgah forest and Dupont. Close to Bervard and also Hendersonville. We will definitely stay again.

We highly enjoyed our stay. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. We enjoyed the covered screened in porch, as it rained for much of our stay. The property is beautiful and in a great location. Damien is helpful and friendly and responded quickly. Overall this is one of the nicer Air Bnb's we have stayed in. We will definitely be back and stay at one of his properties in the future.

Our families stayed here for our niece’s wedding and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed all the amenities, there was plenty of space for everyone, and it’s conveniently close to downtown. Such a beautiful and unique place!

This was my husband and I’s third time staying here, and it is absolutely our favorite place to visit. The villa is clean, comfortable, and well-designed, and the surrounding vineyard is gorgeous. Wish we could move in!

Alex & Josh were great host! Communicated clear & easy check in and check out instructions and were check in with us throughout our stay. The cabin itself was beautiful and clean, it was stocked with everything we needed pretty much in the kitchen and bathrooms. There were little chocolates on all the beds when we arrived, there were all different types of towels, to bathe, pool towels even make up towels which was , little thoughtful details we appreciated. The location was really great! My boyfriend and I were able to do a bunch of hikes near by but also be close enough to enjoy the downtown Asheville area. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, would definitely return!

We really enjoyed our weekend! The house was beautiful, spacious, clean and had everything we needed. And the view was breathtaking! It was the perfect place for our whole family to gather and celebrate our son’s graduation from WCU!

This place was incredible! The mountain view was absolutely picturesque - like something out of a postcard. The interior was just as impressive - stylish, thoughtfully decorated and with such a cool vibe that I genuinely felt cooler just for staying there. It's clear the host put a lot of care into creating a space that's both comfortable and memorable. If you're looking for a place to stay in Lake Lure, I can't recommend this house enough! We also really enjoyed our dining experience at Grey Hawk Bar and Gardens. The food, drinks and atmosphere were incredible and it's only 3 minutes from the house!

Hidden gem with breathtaking views and near popular hiking spots! I recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible place and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had! The property itself was even more stunning in person than in the photos! I loved having the homemade pizza that was included. It was very easy to make and it was such a fun date night, the pizza was delicious! The place itself was spotless and very luxurious! We also loved the YouTube tutorials on how to work the amenities, it was very helpful. Julie was amazing and always got back to us right away, we also met her husband and he was super nice and helpful with hiking recommendations! We will definitely be back soon!!
