Vacation home rentals in French Broad River

Pilot Cove offered my family of 4 (plus dog) a wonderful experience at the doorstep to Pisgah and Brevard. Loved being close to the Hub and the food and coffee truck at the bottom of the hill were great. I enjoyed drinking an Americano from the coffee truck on my way into the Forest or after a long trail run on the Art Loeb trail. The walking trails on the property were the perfect place to walk the dog (though several downed trees cross the path). The house was simple but fit ours needs as we spent most of our time outdoors. Overall we loved Pilot Cove and will be back!

Cute little cabin in a peaceful spot just outside of Pisgah National Forrest. Close to delicious food trucks and even downtown Brevard. We were able to rest and enjoy equally with this stay.

The host called the day before to confirm everything with us . They also let us check in a little early and made our stay very enjoyable . The house was beautiful . The hill going down to the property and down to the lake were a little tough but it was beautiful and made it worth it all . We would stay again for sure .

The Pilot Cove cabin was a wonderful spot; we visited the Pisgah National Forest, Sliding Rock, Looking Glass Falls, and the Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville! I highly recommend this lovely location!

Wow, a great place where you can become one with nature. You find yourself immersed in taking in the views morning, noon, and night. Pilot Cove is a peaceful community and had feel of a place tucked well into the mountains but just on the edge of town. A true favorite!

My husband and I recently stayed at Pilot Cove, seeking some much-needed relaxation and a chance to connect with nature. This retreat was everything we hoped for and more. The room was incredibly comfortable, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that made our stay truly rejuvenating. One of the highlights of our stay was the fully equipped kitchen. It was fantastic to have the option to cook our own meals, which not only added a homey feel to our stay but also helped us save money on dining out. The kitchen had everything we needed, which was a wonderful surprise. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. The bathroom could have been cleaner, and the floors needed a good vacuuming. However, these were minor issues in the grand scheme of things. Overall, Pilot Cove provided us with a perfect getaway. We left feeling relaxed and reconnected with nature. We will definitely be returning and recommend it to others.

Was upset at first because they informed us the day of our arrival that the hottub broke but they were very caring and accommodated us for it and took action to fix it right away. The only thing is make sure you bring extra supplies like garbage bags, toilet paper, etc. as they only supply one of each. Also lots of geese droppings walking down to water but goes with being on a lake. Make sure you check your GPS settings so it doesn't take you backroads, learned that one. No garage so vehicle gets very hot, sunshade helps and deck is hot, no umbrella for shade to sit out at table. Overall beautiful place and Gunner was pleasant and pleasure to deal with any issues we had.

Lirio Woods was a great stay for my boyfriend and me! We appreciated the little details (i.e., pre-filled ice cube trays, laundry basket, room heaters, dryer balls for your down jackets, extra/sorted firewood, recycling bins, marked/lit parking space, etc.) that made the trip more comfortable and convenient. There were lots of helpful info cards for the amenities. The fireplace was already set up the night we checked into the stay. Although it only has a kitchenette, there were enough appliances and kitchenware to make meals and reheat leftovers--induction burner and toaster oven came in handy. The place was in a quiet location away from road noise but easy to venture into nearby towns. Thank you so much, Katie, for hosting us! We appreciated your excellent/efficient communication during our stay. Highly recommend staying at Lirio Woods!

The little studio was perfect for the 2 of us to enjoy. "Love grows best in little houses." The communication with John was the best. I've never been to the Beech Mountain area and John was very kind to help us out with information. The info I would want others to be aware of is that the bed is in a corner. Most important is the apartment does has some rather tricky stairs that lead up to the apt. quad. A slight hardship for my handicap husband. Otherwise, we loved the Oz decorations and our visit.

Robert was very knowledgeable about the area, personable and helpful. The gallery was lovely and I even purchased a beautiful piece of art. If I’m ever in the area again I won’t hesitate to book this beautiful studio again.

We had a great stay with a team of college students showing at tryon. They had so much fun playing in the creek, making fires, playing games out in the pavilion and were comfortable in the home even with a large group. We loved it

This condo was peaceful and felt like home. A cabin like feel inside with a wood fireplace and 2 person jacuzzi beside it with the rustic decor it was as perfect inside as the private balcony with a beautiful, loud(which is what I like) running branch that's practically underneath you and not to mention the 3 bear we seen right off our balcony, we never even turned on the tv we just watched the chipmunks play from the balcony. We brought our own groceries since there was a full kitchen but ended up going to the parkway and eating most of the time lol. We did not have any problems or issues but I'm sure if we had that Rebecca would have handle it immediately as soon as we let her know we arrived she was making sure everything was perfect and if we needed anything to let her know. Hands Down 100 ⭐'s. I will definitely try to get this condo every time I go to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge

Absolutely LOVED this cozy cabin. It was everything we wanted and needed for a lovely Christmas vacay especially the fireplace. Burned a great fire all day every day during our stay. Highly recommend this private, serene forest oasis and definitely plan to go back.

Beautiful views overlooking the Smokies, Ober Mountian Trams, and downtown Gatlinburg. Easy access to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge areas. Zack was very responsive with any needs we had throughout our stay. Instructions and recommendations were very thorough, which we were thankful for. Kids had a great time in the game room and hot tub almost every night. Cabin was well stocked and very clean. Would highly recommend staying in this cabin !!

Thank you Denise for sharing your wonderful condo with my family. We enjoyed each day of our stay. The pictures on airbnb doesn't do it justice. Like another reviewer stated, I'm hesitate to say too much about how nice the place is do to more bookings. I can see my family returning here often.

The house had breathtaking views, great outdoor seating, and a nice layout for multiple families. The kitchen was fully stocked and having fridges on both floors help maximize the time on the decks or by the fire pit. The kids loved the ping pong and shuffleboard tables! The steps to the dock were as advertised (200+) but worth it! We will be back for sure!!!

I honestly don’t know where to begin. She made her home available to me and my family for 3 weeks! 😮‍💨 that’s enough within itself! Very professional and proactive person. Messages back within minutes. The home was GORGEOUS! I have absolutely NOTHING to say bad about this host!

Pat was extremely communicative and the home fit our family of 10 perfectly. There are 2 large bedrooms on the main level, one, a King with small private bath and the other, a queen bed with large private bathroom. There were 2 additional full baths on the main level as well. The kitchen was extra large, very well stocked and accommodated our large family! There is an oversized family room with lots of seating and a bar area too! The family room off the kitchen faces the back deck and the lake and I enjoyed lots of time there reading books to my Grand baby. The back deck was oversized and the home literally sits on Lake Hartwell ! The back dock was a nice bonus as was the hot tub! The downstairs does have some steep stairs so I wouldn't advise elderly people sleeping down there. However, you will find a full bathroom, 2 bedrooms and a third bedroom/bonus/flex space with 2 full beds. We loved our family time there celebrating our daughter's wedding! We can't wait to go back!

Perfect location to Beech Mountain resort, past the main part of town so you don’t have to deal with the traffic. Home was perfect-exactly as pictured. Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Bathrooms were updated and beautiful. My kids loved the place, as did we!

House was great. It was clean. The bedrooms were nice. The views off the mountain was wonderful. Hot tub was relaxing as well. Would definitely come back.

This place is great. It’s centrally located on the south Holston so it’s got great fishing and easy access. The hickory tree market and diner is awesome. Food is great and the people are friendly. The stay is immaculately clean and the appointments in the space are very nice. The bed is super comfortable. Check in is easy, parking is spacious and the outside spaces are great. It’s off the street and reasonably private.

This place is as good as it looks—comfy, clean, and quiet. If you’re looking for a mountain getaway with easy access to trails, this place is it. The hosts are very responsive, and provide an extremely helpful and detailed house guide. The whole place was also *extremely* clean, including the linens and bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Very spacious accommodations. Easy to park and get in and out of. Able to have separate area from other visitors in the party which made for more a comfortable stay. Very clean and well maintained. Retractable gates on all the stairs made this momma happy and less stressed. The host was very responsive and helpful. The outside area was peaceful and delightful. Would definitely recommend.
