Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Freeport

We had a great stay at Diane and Joe’s place—it was exactly as described and exceptionally clean. We decided to arrive a day early, and Diane was kind enough to accommodate us without hesitation. She was consistently responsive and pleasant throughout our stay. The Reno Barn itself is charming and comfortable. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the back deck, which has cozy seating and an umbrella for shade—a perfect spot to unwind. While the spiral staircase to the loft and second bedroom might be a bit tricky for some, it wasn’t an issue for us. The master bedroom on the lower level was very comfortable, and we appreciated the generous supply of sheets, towels, and blankets. While the location isn’t walkable, it offers easy access to both downtown Portland and the airport, each just a 15-minute drive away. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would absolutely recommend this place to others. We’d be happy to stay here again the next time we’re in the Portland area.

We came here for a private getaway on our honeymoon and it did not disappoint. The price was a bit much, but for such a special time I felt it was worth it at the time I booked, and worth it it certainly was. beautiful, quiet, serene, it was perfect for a getaway. I would absolutely recommend, and I already have, this stay. 10/10

I had a wonderful stay at Cutter House! The beautiful grounds, with the charming red barn and friendly animals, created such a peaceful and inviting atmosphere. One of the highlights was the visits from the friendly, snuggly Great Pyrenees dog—such a gentle and affectionate companion who made the experience even more special. I loved spending time outdoors exploring the yard. The home itself is warm, cozy, and thoughtfully appointed. With two bedrooms and two full bathrooms, it was comfortable and convenient. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the fresh local coffee beans made my mornings extra special. The host Maria, was welcoming and communicative, providing helpful local tips and making sure I had everything I needed. Cutter House is the perfect retreat for anyone looking to relax in a beautiful, cozy setting with a touch of furry warmth. I look forward to returning! Don't forget to ask about Grace! She holds a record in Maine!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We unexpectedly had beautiful cloudless days most of the week. Great location & easy to get to the Harbor and Southport both of which we enjoyed! Recommend the Carriage House for a really top quality meal as well as Blue Moon Cafe (good lobster roll) which was one of Shirin’s recommendations. Would totally stay here again!!

Great retreat to feel relaxed and inspired. The location suits our needs for comfort and accessibility to surrounding disc golf courses and is great for travelers looking to escape screens, and the stress of cluttered and busy lifestyles. It feels like home as soon as you arrive .

The place was amazing, such a great find! The hosts laid out check-in and check-out instructions very clearly and offered an abundance of amenities to make our stay more enjoyable. They offered toiletries, tide pods, cooking spices, coffee, books- the list could really go on and on. It really felt like a home away from home! We had a great stay. The location is quiet but just a few minutes away from amazing restaurants, cafes, and breweries. Highlights: The bed was super comfortable. The sauna was great on a rainy day. The walkability to the Back Bay trail was appreciated.

My dog and I had a great time here and would recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area. We found lots of dog-friendly hikes and nature reserves nearby within 15-30 minutes . Otherwise we enjoyed the peaceful yard and small brook on the property. Beautiful and thoughtful rental, with very friendly hosts.

Such a relaxing stay! My husband and I stayed here for a few nights, and we found the location perfect for what we were looking for. Close to many yummy restaurants in Alton Bay and Wolfeboro (5-15 minutes). About 30 minutes from Weirs Beach . The road that Tony and Sonja live on is very quiet. We took a beautiful walk around the neighborhood with a view of Lake Winni. The Airbnb itself is beautiful. Very clean and well equipped. It's right above the garage and up a small flight of stairs. We can't wait to come back one day!

Easy check in, everything was clean and the place looked just like the photos. I booked last minute and Bridget and Forest were able to accommodate us. Very appreciative. 11 out of 10 would definitely stay again!

Jean’s place was amazing, and she was the perfect host! The apartment was perfect for us! The king size bed was so comfortable, and everything was just as described. The location on the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. Jean and Bob very generous and let us use their whole property including wonderful swings to rest on and lake kayaks and a paddle boat! We were scouting out places to buy near Winthrop, and Jean had some great advice and was super helpful! We will be back!

We have stayed at Jackies place twice now and enjoyed it just as much this time as the last. Even though it rained for two days the house is plenty big enough to spread out. We had to change our reservation days twice because of circumstances and Jackie was very accomidating..

A great little cottage nestled in the woods. We enjoyed a breakfast sandwich from the local general store, went on a hike at Amos Mountain and visited North Conway. The cottage was a bit hot when we arrived but we opened the windows and got some air flowing! Other than that, everything was great.

Great house, great location, beautiful ambience, perfect getaway for peaceful vacation. The cabin is very well stocked with literally everything you would need. Enjoyed canoo ride in calm pond water. Ideal for someone who enjoys private time with beautiful nature.

Off the grid enough to feel completely alone in the woods, but close enough to where you can get dinner or find other things to do with only a short drive. Highly recommend.

My kids and I had a fantastic time. Julie was nice and left very clear instructions for everything that was needed. Great location that put you right in between the ski resorts and the town of Conway, which has lovely shops and food options. Great spot if your an active traveler or if you just want to read in the peace of a beautiful river and hide. Thanks again!!

Came for the Fall colors; left in love with the place! Small but delightful. Cluttered in the most fantastical way. Nestled in paradise. Bonnie is so nice and friendly! Pay attention to the fact that the toilet is not attached to house. Short walk to privet and very clean!
