The Stables

Such an amazing cottage! We were skeptical with it not having many reviews, but wow, we are so glad we booked it. It’s pretty central to everywhere (longest drive was 45 mins) and we were able to explore the Lake District for the first time with ease! The cottage is so cute and has been renovated to a really high standard, plus the bed was SO comfy too. We would definitely recommend :)

Brocklebank,The Lake District,Beachfront Chalet,

LiseRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Brocklebank was the perfect peaceful sanctuary before a busy month of 60th birthday celebrations for my husband. The weather was mixed from absolutely pouring down when we arrived to cracking the flags the next day….we walked along the quiet beach, talked, read books and drank wine….. we will be back x

Knittleton Annex

The place is beautiful and in a beautiful location nearby to many lovely walks and pubs. The only thing is the dogs were quite loud in the morning when they got excited! A lovely stay all the same!

Rimmon Attic, Duddon, Lake District, Sleeps 2-4

DarrenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed for three nights, what can I say, it was just as described as listed. Private, spotless and so spacious. There was a folder full of so much information of the surrounding area, sorry Victoria we already had our time there planned, but this could come in very handy. I am in the building trade and I could tell a lot of love, effort and imagination over many years has been put into this place and felt quite humbled to stay there. Lovely place Victoria, Thankyou this made our stay in the Lake District special

Kings Head: 2 Bedroom Countryside Cottage

RobinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful 3 nights in the Kings Head cottage. The lounge area is as stunning and unique as the pictures suggest! We chose a weekend that coincided with the tasting menu and Sunday lunch and would highly recommend both. The produce was local and lots from their stunning garden. The breakfasts were superb featuring fresh rhubarb from the garden and best pastry ever tried! Everyone was friendly and helpful and our dog was made to feel very welcome too! Enjoyed two local pubs called blacksmith’s arms and farmer’s arms on our other 2 evenings - both great. Enjoyed a long hike up from the hidden duddon valley which was a lovely quiet route to Dow Crag and coniston old man (only downside was the 30 min drive to our starting point). Local nice walks from the cottage included heathwaite fell and duddon sands.

Ugly Duckling Cottage

EmilyRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Was a lovely little place to stay, in a lovely location. Has everything u need for a few days away! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for something not too far into the Lake District. My only thing was although being dog friendly, pets are not allowed on the furniture or upstairs which is fair enough but would have been good to know prior to booking. Besides that it was a lovely stay!

Apartment, King or Twin, free Off-street parking

MichaelRating, 5 stars10 months ago
I was looking for a good value for money place to use as a base to go off walking and cycling around Coniston and Grizedale. This fitted the bill for me. Easy to park, couple of pubs within walking distance. Drive to Coniston is about 15 mins but lots of other places in easy reach. Broughton is a very quiet little town but there is butchers/greengrocers and bakery 2 minute walk from apartment so easy to get supplies plus nice to support local businesses.

The Tractor House

We had a great stay at this lovely place. The highlight was the very sweet dog who greeted us on arrival, and we enjoyed watching the farm animals out of the window. The place itself is stunning inside, and the views are spectacular.
