Chez Mémé was traditional French residence in many ways -all good- but also modernised carefully and many nice arty touches. Very comfortable

The house is ideally located in Fouras, it is easy to park there. The city center is 15 minutes away by walking. The house is very nice, the garden too. It has charm and character. Very bright. We enjoyed the large square table in the dining room and the layout of the bedrooms: a sleeping area and a bedroom a little apart with a large bed of 160 + possibility of a baby bed. Very nice baby bed available + high chair if needed. Stephanie the concierge is very responsive and friendly. The owner too. We recommend.

We had not been to La Rochelle before but we really enjoyed it. It seemed that every day we discovered a new hidden gem. New squares, new restaurants and new charming streets. The apartment is excellent in that you are just a few minutes walk from the old port, with parking. We would generally walk in for breakfast, have an exploratory walk and then an early evening drink or perhaps food. We sent so many pictures to children and friends with comments about the great atmosphere or evening sun on the harbour. The flat is great. It has a perfect living room for us as a couple with a nice balcony off the living room. The balcony stayed cool until the sun came round late in the afternoon/early evening and we sat looking out over classic French roofs. The kitchen is small but it had all we needed and the mini oven was good enough to cook pizzas and quiches. The bathroom was fine and washing machine and dishwasher a plus as we were on a 5 week road trip. Parking was secure and easy.

Christelle's place was excellent for our family of 4: clean, comfortable and very accessible to the center of town. Christelle personally welcomed us into the unit, and provided several helpful recommendations. We enjoyed the balcony for an afternoon "apéro" and coffee in the living room which faces a quiet courtyard. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. La Rochelle is a gem!

The apartment is great overall for family of 4. 1 large, but shared bathroom. No separate WC. Some age on the furnishings. Well laid out and had all housewares needed. Decor is curated. Excellent location. Friendly and accommodating host. (AC would have made this an even better stay. )

Apartment in a very good location for doing everything on foot. Perfect for a few days' stay for 2 adults. Pleasant terrace, lots of neighbors, but not annoying in this season.

Very spacious accommodation, a short walk to the beach, very quiet, easy to access with private parking space. Host available. Great restaurants nearby. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and place.

I have to say this is one of my favourite places on AirBnB. It’s actually nicer than the photos!! And the most comfortable bed! I loved that a little shopping trolley was even provided for my trips to the boulangerie and marche! Christian was on hand to help with checking in and out. Great location! Laurent and Nadine have been fabulous hosts. I felt very welcome and they were very friendly and attentive to me, making sure I knew where to find places and offering advice and help on my little trips around the place. The bed was really comfortable and the kitchen and shower room were great. I had everything I needed. There is a great market nearby on a Sunday which is well worth a visit. The location is lovely and quiet for a restful sleep. I highly recommend.

Excellent location: The accommodation is very clean and functional. Dominique is welcoming and accommodating. Special mention to the bedding, which is very comfortable. Ideally located, the residence is very nice, Saint Martin en Ré is a charming village. I would highly recommend it.

This is the third time we have booked this accommodation because it is really very comfortable and well located, quiet. We also booked in early August and we will continue next year if we are accepted. Evelyne is very responsive, Virginie absent replaced by Amelia also very friendly and available. Very nice stay in Sylvie's apartment, ideal location close to the old port, aquarium and many restaurants, the apartment is large and very clean, the parking is a big asset, we were able to enjoy La Rochelle on foot, the Hotel for the delivery of the keys is perfect, and Sylvie is very considerate, call before arrival, tips, etc. Great value for money in La Rochelle. We'll be back at Sylvie's!
