This place is perfect for big families looking for a cozy and comfortable stay far from the buzzing city. It has hot tub and pool (perfect for summer getaway). We enjoyed our new year's eve celebration. Big spaces and clean. Basement is also spacious with a bar and games. Hosts are responsive and considerate.

Gorgeous old home on a beautiful property, was the perfect place and location to host our large family Thanksgiving. The house was well stocked with charming dishes and serving pieces. They left plenty of wood for the wood-stove which made the large space feel so cozy, and plenty of wood and chairs surrounding the fire pit outside. They also provided plenty of drinking water and decorated with pumpkins and mums. Bed linens and towels a fresh crisp white felt nice to curl into. If I had a choice I’d opt for some queen size beds and use of the extra bedrooms! Though realize it’s not set up for multiple families but for individuals on a retreat. It still suited us just fine and the kids loved the giant room with the bunk beds. Thank you Carolyn for another perfect weekend!

The place was exactly how it was described. It was clean and had everything you needed at your fingertips. We were there for a family event so the location was perfect for that.

Ray’s place was just perfect for our stay! The view is absolutely stunning. The space worked well with two completely separate sleeping spaces and bathrooms. And it was dog friendly. We hope to stay there again.

Genuinely even better than anticipated. Place is bigger than it looks, very spacious, clean, all amenities, great location, quick response from hosts. Loved every moment.

We had a great stay at this Airbnb! The house offered plenty of space with a nice layout, making it easy to relax and enjoy our time. The screened-in outdoor area was perfect for grilling and spending time together in the evenings, and the fire pit was a great bonus for winding down at night. The ping pong table added a fun touch and kept everyone entertained. The pool area had potential to be a highlight, but due to the weather, we didn’t get to use it as much as we’d hoped. Just a heads-up—it’s about 35 minutes from Alexandria Bay, so a bit of planning is needed for day trips. The host was friendly and responsive, and the overall experience was enjoyable. We’d definitely consider staying again and are especially interested in trying the host’s lakeside cabins next time for easier access to the water. All in all, a solid getaway with great outdoor features and room to unwind.

We had such a wonderful time at your historic home!!! We had 14 people including 6 kids and there was more than enough room to have privacy, and no noise interruptions. Having 6 full baths was perfect! The setting was beautiful and the kids really enjoyed the extra large pool. The proximity to all things of the Adirondacks was wonderful. We saw many waterfalls, and the fishing was spectacular. We would definitely recommend your home to others. Thank you for sharing it with our family.

our stay was amazing. just so beautiful and lived in. Khando was very patient and helpful. unfortunately we had to leave early due to a family emergency. we will however be back . we loved the recorded player. Dance party with the Bee Gees. lol thank you so much for the memories.

We were in the area to attend a wedding, and stayed at Denise‘s home. The property had everything we needed, it was well furnished very clean,organized, and well equipped. The location is excellent,not far from town,golf course and ski Mountain. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and hope to return someday.

We had another great stay at Kate Mountain Farm. This is a beautiful, interesting, and original place to stay located on a working farm. Waking up in the unique upstairs loft bedroom with a view of the sunrise hitting the pine trees never gets old. It is an excellent alternative to staying in Lake Placid or Saranac Lake, with the beauty of the woods and hiking nearby, and easy driving access to all that the high peaks of the Adirondacks have to offer. The place was spotless as usual, with many goodies provided to make your stay a nicer experience. Thank you Aaron!

This place is fantastic! It’s perfect for a party of 5 or 6. It’s also conveniently located near the town. Alisa was incredibly helpful and made the process of getting in and out of the place incredibly easy. I highly recommend her place! :)

This place was exceptional. From booking to check out, all instructions were clear. Rachel and Raven were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Very friendly and responsive. This Airbnb was large plenty of space for many guests which accommodated my family with extended family perfectly. It was a very quiet spot with a beautiful backyard.

House in Massena was perfect for our stay. The house is large, comfortable and very well appointed and stocked with everything you could need. The host even brought us a grill . 😊 Our family really enjoyed our stay and we were as comfortable as if we were at one of our own homes.

This cottage was right on the lake and was extremely peaceful. Kayaks and paddle boards were so much fun! It’s a short trip away from 1000 islands which was so worth it!!

Some places are just houses. Others hold space and pause. From the first moment we walked in, "The River Retreat" welcomed us like a warm hug. My siblings and I came here to honour the one-year anniversary of our mother’s passing, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. Peaceful, cozy, and full of thoughtful touches. Every room, view, and amenity gave us a chance to breathe, reflect, and spend quality family time together. We tried all the amenities, including the hot tub, canoe, kayaks, fire pit, and pool table. But our favourite pass time and location was definitely the home cooked meals around the round table overlooking the river. We left feeling full in every sense. Thank you Marlene and Morgan for being such fantastic hosts! We’ll absolutely be back.

Thanks for sharing your home! It’s a peaceful and relaxing getaway, but also only a short drive to Lake Placid restaurant and shops. A very well stocked kitchen for those who enjoy cooking at home.

We had a great graduation weekend, an easy route from Clarkson University. The house was well appointed. Everything was clean and bright. Quiet well kept neighborhood. The beds were comfortable and the house was very welcoming. Mary was very responsive and gave several recommendations for local eateries. It was a nice, hectic, quick weekend. Having a comfortable place to relax after a 6 hour ride and a busy graduation day was appreciated.

We stayed in Shannon’s home in Colton … it was perfect. The place was spacious and spotless, the views were amazing… Shannon was very friendly and easy to communicate with… Thank you Shannon for sharing your home with us… It was an incredible weekend celebrating our son’s graduation from Clarkson.

Alan was a great host and was extremely accommodating! we will be back for sure! maybe in the summer next time!

Johanna was a wonderful host. I had booked her place over a year in advance for my son’s graduation. It was very comfortable for five adults. The kitchen had plenty of equipment for me to cook dinner. The riverside location is beautiful but it was too cold in May to enjoy the water.

Melanie answered her husband were wonderful hosts. coming up for a week of fishing this place was just what we needed. clean, spacious, wonderful views, and easy to navigate where things were.

Becky's space was exactly what my family was looking for. We had an important event to attend in Canton and although it was only 17 minutes away, it felt a million miles away. Peaceful sounds of nature at night a beautiful view of a lightning storm in the distance. Becky was responsive and provided clear instructions. I would stay there again.

The farm house was great. Lots of space. Loved seeing the chickens! looking forward to swinging by in the fall to see the pumpkin patch on full swing
