This old-fashioned diner, owned by a single mom, serves hearty meals that last all day. Their eggs Benedict, with fresh spinach, avocado, and homemade skillet potatoes, is a standout. Watching “CoCo” cook—his energy is unmatched—is an experience! Get there early; we went twice, and it was packed. Consider contributing to The Local Joint’s “pay it forward” option. A $10 donation covers a meal for someone in need. This region of North Carolina was severely impacted by Hurricane Helene. The destruction is heartbreaking, but the community is rebuilding. Many businesses and walking trails remain closed, so keep that in mind.

My son and I stayed here for one night, and we wish we could have stayed longer! I absolutely loved this home and wish I could live there full-time. We felt completely at home and lacked for nothing. I called my husband to tell him that I found the perfect place to stay when we visit Brevard again. I can't wait to come back and share this wonderful little cottage with my husband! Stayed here for a wedding in Weaverville! It was a cute place near downtown Westerville. We loved the hottub- it was fun to sit in the hottub under the pergola while it rained. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect weekend getaway from the chaos of the city! Emily and Hunter were amazing hosts and I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the weekend. Everything was as described and we left feeling recharged and stress free! Thank you for hosting us!

Big backyard was perfect for the dogs. The Cottage was just as described Very clean with everything we needed for the weekend. We contacted Brandon once for broken blowdryer and he offered to run one over in a couple hours. Very responsive and accommodating. We will stay again

Our stay was amazing! The house and grounds are wonderful! So many thoughtful touches and so many upgraded features it was like being spoiled. We loved staying here and would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful, bucolic location for our family to rest and relax at. The centralized location to the greater Asheville area suited our weekend needs perfectly. The house itself instantly felt like "home" to us. That we could share family time in such a unique and quiet location was perfect. We'll be back!

What a wonderful little place to stay. Private, clean, and close enough to town. Some parts of the cottage (pool, bathroom, and part of kitchen) were recently renovated and were even nicer than the photos. Harry was very responsive with any questions. It was a pleasure staying here and I hope to visit again.

I have to admit that I am not the best at writing reviews after staying at airbnbs, but this one was especially great for our family. We were traveling with our baby and 2 dogs, and we found the space very peaceful and well suited for us. I loved their fence for the dogs and the way the bedroom and living area is situated. Would highly recommend and will be coming back!

Roger's place was wonderful. It was close to the wedding venue for the wedding we attended. The beds were comfortable and home was very cozy. I would stay here again when back in NC.

We had a great time at this cute and cozy Airbnb! We really enjoyed chatting with the hosts during the wine tasting—they were friendly and welcoming, and offered great suggestions. Very accommodating to our puppy. Would definitely stay here again!

We have stayed here and a sister property and both places are excellent. They are well taken care of, have excellent furnishings and Debbie is very responsive. I recommend this anyone traveling to the Western North Carolina area!

I enjoyed the stay. The location of the home was very convenient to many areas. It was not as private as I would have hoped although the home was very clean.

Carrie’s place was perfect for our family trip (2 adults, 2 college age kids). The house was clean and cozy inside. Outside there was a beautiful garden. It was an easy drive to the Tryon equestrian center as well as restaurants in Rutherfordton and surrounding towns. Highly recommend.

Caleb‘s place is a fantastic, peaceful, out-of-the-way cottage. Wonderful place for a quiet vacation, but an easy drive into Asheville to enjoy all of the restaurants and amenities. Everything was incredibly clean and comfortable. I would definitely visit again hopefully sooner rather than later.

Enjoyed out stay in Black Mountain. The back porch view was exactly what we were looking for. Would certainly stay again! Kids slept on the pull out couch which they said was quite comfortable.

Place is awesome, surrounded by nature and just a few minutes away from Asheville Downtown. Beautiful home, super great equipped (outstanding!). Marion was very helpful as instructions were very clear and she was available to answer a couple of quick questions we had during our stay. For those visiting Asheville area, I cant think of a better place to stay.

This was our second stay at Bluebird and it was just as lovely as the first. Lauria and Randy are excellent hosts and their home is such a peaceful respite from the world. Our boys were 1 and 4 last time we came and they’ve been asking to go back ever since. They were sad to leave when it was time to go. They feel so at home there. A perfect way to explore the beautiful WNC region while coming home to a peaceful, secluded paradise at the end of every day.

Just stayed one night during a road trip but would stay here again if I was ever back in the Asheville area. Such a cute little house that had everything we needed for a short stay. The house was clean and met my expectations based on the pictures. The house was well stocked too.
