It is situated in Finavarra Demesne overlooking Finavarra House, the bay and the Burren Mountains. The Flaggy Shore is only 1.2km walking distance and Linnane's Lobster Bar is 1.5km drive. It is located a stones throw from the lovely old fishing village of ballyvaughan, that was once the heart of Clare and is now part of the Wild Atlantic Way. Spend a day in the sun on one of many beaches nearby or visit the stunning Burren and its fabulous attractions, such as Aillwee Cave and Birds of Prey Centre, Doolin Cave, Caherconnell Fort and the majestic Cliffs of Moher. Doolin village, famous for its music and culinary delights, is a ten-minute walk away, the dramatic not-to-be-missed cliffs of Moher a short drive, and a spectacular 14th century castle right next door.

The Blue Yard

The Blue Yard is a tiny home on the beautiful drive-on island of Aughinish, 12 km outside the sea-side town of Kinvara, named one of the top ten beautiful villages in Ireland. Aughinish Island is accessed by a 1 km causeway (not tidal) and is an area of unspoilt beauty with local pebble beaches a five minute walk away and the sandy beach of Traught a ten min drive away (8 km). You'll be staying on the Clare-Galway border with both the wildness of the Burren and Galway city at your doorstep.

(A car is necessary - we are in a very beautiful rural area with very limited public transport.)

We hope our guests do too. We are in an ideal location for cycling, walking or swimming in the Sea and can provide storage for your Bicycles.
