The Yorkshire Lodge

BethRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had the loveliest of stays at the lodge. It was an ideal base for us getting out and about the local area, while also providing home comforts and a cozy setting. We travelled with a child and infant, and the extra touches and helpfully left items (travel cot, high chair, toys and games), made the trip that much easier. It was an all round perfect stay, and should we be in the area again we’d love to pay a return visit.

Lavender Cottage, Masham, Historic Listed, 2 beds

ChrisRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We enjoyed a lovely few days staying at Lavender Cottage. The location is great with pubs, restaurants and walks right on the door step, and great hikes near by. The cottage had everything we needed to make some home food and to have a cosy night in. The bed was really comfortable. As others have mentioned, the road can get quite loud with trucks passing - but with earplugs left for us it didn't bother us too much. Thank you Dan and Niamh for a lovely break away.

We had a wonderful stay! The hideaway was well equipt and the bed was very comfortable. The views over the fields were a treat and the space felt very private. Thankyou Liz for being very responsive and helpful when we asked for information about the area. We hope to return again one day. Amy & Phil xx

The Stable Room

RooRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We booked Rebecca’s place at very short notice and are so pleased to have found such a great new base for our Yorkshire adventures! Rebecca was incredibly accommodating with our later arrival time due to traffic. We arrived to a spotlessly clean little room-The bed was super comfy, kitchen was well equipped and clean, the shower was lovely with good water pressure (very important to curly haired people like myself!).. We visited Ripon, Harrogate, Masham and Pateley Bridge. Ripon is very dog friendly and ‘Oliver’s Pantry’ is well worth a visit-they even have a doggy menu! Lots of lovely walks straight from the front door of the cottage, alongside two pubs within walking distance. At night, we were not able to hear any road noise-we had the best nights sleep that we’ve had in a while! Overall, The Stable Room is an utterly brilliant, dog friendly little bolthole and we would definitely return xx

Cottage on The Green

DavidRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The cottage was a perfect home from home, very welcoming. The cottage was very clean and tidy with everything you would expect to make a perfect break. The rear court yard garden was a lovely space to unwind. The village had a very good pub with excellent food and the village hall also served as a cafe which was ran by volunteers and was very good value for money, There was a pond with ducks and a small playground next to it. Rachel was a very good host to the cottage she was very helpful and very easy to get in touch with. Overall I would recommend this cottage it was a perfect getaway. And would quite easily recommend the cottage to friends and family.

An amazing stay in a beautiful relaxing shepards hut. Jackie was so welcoming, even lending us a bat box for when the bats came out on dark. Would definitely recommend it and will be visiting again.

Nidderdale Den

RachaelRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Lovely little cottage tucked away with beautiful views surrounding it. A bit tricky to find as the sat nav stopped before the actual road we needed to turn down, however Jo’s clear instructions really helped. Cosy, lovely cottage. The steps are really steep up to the bedrooms though so be mindful of that. We went with our 4yr old who just loved climbing up them as she thought it was an adventure, and we just brought our baby gate to put at the top for in the night. Pately Bridge is a 10min drive away, although I would advise bringing food with you as shopping options are quite limited in the small town. Be mindful there is no microwave in the kitchen as well for food prep/baby bottles etc. Jo was a lovely host, she sent through a full brochure for us before the trip with lots of local info on. We ate at the Sportman’s Arms about 15min drive from the house as well, which I would highly recommend, also suggested by Jo. Would recommend Jo’s place for anyone wanting a relaxing stay.
