Would stay again! Loved the pool and loved the house. Great step back in time with modern amenities. Super quick with feed back and very flexible and helpful. The rooms were amazing! The outdoor areas were very nice as well for an outdoor gathering.

This house was truly a hidden gem-tucked away off the beaten path, which made it incredibly peaceful and relaxing. The interior of the house was absolutely gorgeous with thoughtful touches that made it feel both cozy and luxurious. The real highlight was the outdoor space downstairs. It felt like our own private oasis! The swings added such a relaxing vibe and the natural breeze flowing through kept us perfectly cool while we lounged. The pool was a little too cold for me but my family enjoyed that as well. They thought the temperature of the pool was perfect. It was the perfect spot to unwind, read and just enjoy the quiet. Thanks for allowing us to enjoy your house!

This place is a jewel quite place away from all the noise of the city. The host was very responsive and very helpful. Thank you we will be staying there again.

My wife and I just finished a 2 week stay at John's home in La Grange and it was everything that we hoped it would be. We seldom get to vacation, just the two of us, and it was 15 blissful days of rest, relaxation and fun. Everything was exactly as described and beautiful (even more so than the pictures portrayed). John was super responsive to all our request/needs, and I could not ask for better communication. We liked it so much, that we have already booked an extended stay, next year. Plus, John has lots of great plans to make it an even better experience. We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to escape, for a length of time. No noise pollution, no crowds, fresh country air, with wonderful views.

Impossible not to love this one of kind home! It’s been restored beautifully with every detail considered. The pool was wonderful, kitchen and bathrooms well supplied and everyone in our party absolutely loved staying here. planning a return! :)

Great get away! Great to sit and relax. pool and sitting outside area was perfect. took my 82 yr old mother, we sat outside in the mornings to have coffee. Shopping in Gonzales in the morning. Then jumped in pool to relax a few. evening had a small fire going and relaxed more under the stars!

We had a wonderful stay at this ranch. The host was very responsive and accommodating, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience, especially for the 4 young children we had. A jump house was set up for them, and they were able to pet and feed the bunnies, pet the horse and ponies, and play with the toys in the main area. It was a very serene environment, and there was lots of space for the kids to run around. The beds were so comfortable, and the showers were amazing. All the small details such as the nice towels, the tea selection, and the high quality appliances made this experience that much more enjoyable. This place is clean, beautiful and is perfect for a large group. It had everything we needed, including a coffee, microwave and mini-fridge in every suite. We were overwhelmed with how many amenities were available and couldn’t get enough of the view.

Beautiful home! Perfect for our family of 8 adults. We enjoyed all the pool and all the lovely spaces outside. The kitchen was well appointed with everything including spices and pantry items. We cooked all of our meals while we were there. The beds were very comfortable. We highly recommend this property! Looking forward to returning for another family get together.

I would stay there again, comfortable and Jenna let us know about bad weather coming. We were there to be with family after going through some rough stuff. I would recommend it to other family.

My mom and I stayed here for our annual trip to Round Top and absolutely loved the place! The house was very clean, cozy and in the adorable town of Fayetteville. Rita and Mike were very accommodating, they supplied coffee, snacks, water, flashlights and even ear plugs for the train(I only heard it once and it wasn’t bad). We would love to stay here again!

loved the house just as described very clean, spacious and comfortable has everything we needed and close to town. just slow on communication about getting into the house waited 2 and half hours to get the code for house.

One of the coolest homes we’ve stayed in. Immaculate. Fully restored to its 1905 glory. Clean, well kept, fully stocked with all the essentials. All lights and drawers/cabinets are labeled. Cool bathroom fixtures with a historic claw-foot tub.

Came for Mother’s Day weekend and had a great time! Loved the house and location was great for going to the state park. Would definitely stay here again!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Marie’s country house. The house is pretty and well decorated. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evening and looking at the stars. We were less than 10 minutes from Round Top - fun shopping and great restaurants. Marie gave us great advice. She was helpful and responsive.

Very fun house. Had to show everyone the speakeasy hidden room. Well stocked kitchen. Perfect for our group.

Leann was such an amazing host. From the beginning of our reservation, she was always very responsive and provided us with great recommendations for us to do, whether it was restaurants or just things to do. We came to Round Top for a girls trip and we all loved our stay at The Oaks. The house was so cute, in the middle of various trees, with deer feeders and animals that you could just see throughout the day. It was so peaceful and we loved sitting outside on the rocking chairs enjoying our morning coffee and talking about life. She recommended Blissful Folly Farm which had great food and drinks. It was just next door with was great for us to just chill before we went to the cottage to end the night. The house has a lot of amenities that were useful. And it was just 13 mins out from Round Top. Perfect tucked in place to decompress after a day of antique shopping, day drinking and having delicious dinners. A 10 out of 10! Will definitely be back! Thank you!!!

My sister and I had a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The cottage was fully equipped and so inviting. Special touches were appreciated. We enjoyed having coffee each of the three mornings of our stay in the comfy rocking chairs. A beautiful view and visiting deer. We visited LaGrange and Round Top. Julie and Robert were so accommodating and even offered us a late check out since the next guests were not arriving until late evening. We loved everything about our stay and we hope to return.

I’ve been to Round Top 3 times and this is my favorite airbnb rental so far. Will definitely book again.

Loved staying here, it was the perfect place and size for us. Blocks away from the square made it super walkable. Rooms were super cute and a great backyard

Just an over night stay as we toured the Painted Churches, so we didn’t stay long enough to take advantage of all the beautiful home has to offer. Highly recommend to everyone needing a place to stay when in the area. Great stay!

Our family had a great time all weekend. The house was fabulous and exceeded our expectations. The bunkhouse worked well for the part of our family with small children. The chef was great and cooked a spectacular meal. Everyone enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the game room. We will definitely book this place again for our next family get together. Some areas for improvement 1) an umbrella for the sun shelf at the pool 2) breathable lounge chairs for laying by the pool 3) small table top smore maker for the patio

Our family was able to stay together at this country retreat before one of our son’s wedding that was happening nearby. It was a great location for the venue and allowed us extra time together plus the bonus of being a beautiful place. Our nearest hotel options would have been a very different experience. The beds were comfy and the weather was perfect to spend time outside and enjoy the front porch and surroundings.

Awesome place to meet up with family. Very clean, pretty and peaceful decor, comfortable beds, nice seating for visiting in backyard… overall, a perfect place to stay!

We had an amazing time at Wander Inn! The space was beautiful and very nice. 5 beds in total and lots of space for 5 people! The fresh biscuits every morning were incredible and the longhorns on site were so cool. About a mile into town so you’ll need a car but an easy 2 minute drive!
