Thank you for looking at Windy Pines Suite. This spacious one bedroom/one bathroom suite has a large kitchen/living room; and is perfect for travelers. It is clean, comfortable, & uncluttered, a home away from home! It is surrounded by beautiful pines, in a safe neighborhood with accessible parking. Close by is the interstate with access to Iowa State Fair Grounds, and Downtown Des Moines. WP is attached to our home but it has its own separate outside entrance. Please send me any questions.

The Urban Barn! private parking

Our place is a 10 minute drive to I-35/Ames. Restaurants & a park are within walking distance. This studio is a flat above a detached garage and has a lovely, rustic charm and is separate from the main house. The living room has a pull-out couch, increasing guest size from 4 up to 6. The space includes a mini fridge, microwave, Keurig, smart TV, Wi-Fi, dining area and an outdoor grill. This is not handicap accessible as it requires going up one flight of stairs. Quiet & peaceful neighborhood!

Drive into the attached garage and go upstairs where you will find your very private entrance to a quiet, peaceful, and restful living. Located 1 mile from the downtown area on a street loaded with large Oak and Walnut trees. A huge back yard in which to stroll or barbecue. It is the top half of my house complete with it's own kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. My residence is the bottom half of the house. Lots of excellent restaurants nearby. Honestly such a nice place it's worth staying more than one night. A quiet and beautiful neighborhood showed what was to come inside the home. A large and wonderfully decorated bedroom with an absolutely pristine bathroom; the shower looked like it was newly installed it was so clean. Nice hand soaps and towels provided in the kitchen. The bed was on a little on the hard side for my liking but I still slept well. The house was also the perfect temperature for cold-blooded me; I felt nice and toasty. Wendy herself was very friendly as were her cute cats!

I stayed at Jill's place for a quick overnight trip near the airport, and it was perfect. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The check-in process was smooth, and Jill was proactive and welcoming. It made my travel stress-free, and I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. I also got to meet their lovely cat, Minnie which was a bonus. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a convenient and pleasant stay near the airport!

We had a great stay in their beautiful, spacious basement apartment. It was very clean with very comfortable furniture in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. The hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with. We highly recommend their place and would gladly stay here again.

I was showing goats at the fairgrounds and needed a comfortable place for the weekend. This apartment was perfect. I was at the fairgrounds for most of the time but the unit was clean, hot shower was appreciated and the bed was sooo soft. I ate dinner at the Mexican restaurant just up the road and everything was so convenient. I’ll definitely be back next year.
