Really lovely place to enjoy in the winter time. We even saw deer around the house in the early morning as well as kangaroo. The family really enjoyed the space and the kids loved the loft area.
The exterior features a charming green facade with a mix of wooden and stone elements. A unique entryway with an arched door is framed by large windows, while decorative planters and a rustic wagon wheel add character to the garden area.

Le Bel Air - Chalet

LanRating, 5 stars60 months ago
Such a wonderful and fairytale feeling chalet with an amazing fireplace and plenty of character and charm. Walking distance from the main township, toboggan hill, and a 15minute drive to Mt Hotham. Most things were closed (which Josie let us know, prior) because of C19 and the bus wasn’t running with the delayed start to the season. We found vodafone had great reception despite being let know there was no coverage, which helped booking things online. As it was just the two of us, we still made the most of it, driving into Hotham ($56 a day) walking the tracks around the DP township, relaxing by the fire, and having dinner at the DP hotel. I would seriously recommend researching and booking anything in advance, including checking if the bus is running (it was not, but should be from the 29th), restaurants, and any lift / ski hire, as so much of this is affected by C19 and not much snowfall (yet!). Overall, we had the best time and would stay again in this magical town and chalet!
The exterior of the rustic chalet features timber siding, balconies, and a staircase leading to the upper levels. Snow covers the ground, and signage for local amenities is visible nearby, enhancing the inviting atmosphere of the Alpine-style architecture.

Very cosy mountain chalet in very good order and condition. Everything worked well. Plenty of firewood supplied - great for such a montane location. A plethora of engaging activities around without even strapping on skis or a snowboard. Good arrival instructions from host.

Gifford - family friendly chalet

WayneRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Gifford was all that we expected with lots of room and everything we needed. It is just a few doors down from the Hotham Shuttle bus with a large living area and a big efficient wood heater (plenty of wood supplied) where a family of all ages can gather and enjoy being together. It is not 'brand new" but felt really comfortable for a family group and I would highly recommend it as a great place to stay in the snow. We hope to be back next year
A wooden chalet is surrounded by deep snow, under a clear blue sky. The A-frame structure features large windows, allowing natural light to brighten the interior. Snow-laden trees frame the scene, creating a serene winter landscape.
