The apartment was clean,the host was helpful and kind, and the location is wonderful for your trip to Balat! The apartment had what we needed such as hair dryer, washing machine, refrigerator , AC wall units, tea pot, coffee pot for brewing a delicious cup of Turkish coffee which we had the pleasure of enjoying with the host who was a lovely ambassador for the people of Türkiye. There are lovely tea/pastry shops around, fresh juice, small convenience stores as well as some restaurants in the area. Do yourself a favor and ask the host for a little tour of the area. She’ll take you to the best tea shop with the best pastries. I definitely would come back and stay here.

Everything was very high quality with modern, technical equipment and classic furniture, everything you needed was there, but it was like staying at a different time. In the middle of the most beautiful part of Balat, where the colorful houses stand. After a busy day in the crowd of Istanbul, it was always like a refuge where you could sit back comfortably and safely. Thank you very much for this wonderful offer to stay in Istanbul. The apartment is excellent. It has all the amenities and equipment for a comfortable vacation. Washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, TV screens, very comfortable mattresses. Bottom line, Chris's stay was 5 stars. The location of the apartment is very excellent. Tram station is less than 100 meters away. It is one stop away from the wonderful Bilat neighborhood. Of course, when I travel to Istanbul, Chris's apartment will be my first choice

A great find away from the tourist areas but close enough to visit. The immediate area was full of friendly locals with limited English, it was a authentic experience and the local bakery and food court we're brilliant. Would recommend to anyone

I had a truly wonderful stay! The apartment was exactly as described ,clean, cozy, and in a nice location, but what made the experience exceptional was the host. The owner went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From the moment I arrived, they were kind, welcoming, and incredibly helpful with recommendations and anything I needed. You can truly feel how much care and attention they put into making guests feel comfortable and at home. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, and I would gladly stay here again.

We had a really nice time in Riza’s and Onur’s house. It is next to so many cafes and the commute is very easy with tram and ferry stations within 5-minutes walk. We were a family of 8 and had enough space for everyone. The house is well-equipped and had everything we needed. It does have many stairs inside and particularly the ones to the top floor are quite steep, but the hosts were very forthcoming about it and made sure we knew about it before confirming the booking. The communication was great and any small technical issues were resolved quickly and efficiently. My daughter is into arts and she particularly enjoyed various pieces of art in the house. Great stay and many thanks to the hosts!

We visited as a family with two small kids and had a fantastic 5-day stay. The neighborhood is vibrant, authentic, and full of heart, with great shops and restaurants to explore daily. The house was spacious — more than we needed, as we didn’t use the downstairs apartment — but very comfortable, especially for the kids. Getting around was easy with the Istanbulkart; tram line 5 and bus 55 are just a short walk away. We cooked a few times and found the kitchen workable (cooking with gas), though some utensils were a bit worn and basic items like salt and pepper would’ve been helpful. Still, these were minor things. We’d happily return to Balat and to Ömer’s house. To really enjoy it, I’d recommend staying at least 4–5 days.

Our family of 9 loved this place with its 5 bedrooms on 3 floors, 2 kitchens, 3 bathrooms and a sunny balcony on 2nd floor off the sitting room. well equipped kitchens, not that we cooked much, with the lovely local cheap restaurants 50 metres down the road. beds all comfortable, aircon and hot water worked well. We got fit going up and down the spiral wooden stair case, we ranged in age from 5 to 70, so had to make sure the smaller kids took care near/on stairs. As the oldest person I got the top floor to myself so just made sure I only went up and down once a day-so was organised or got younger ones to fetch things. Its a lively street,.with local kids playing out till late, lots of cats, baby gulls on the opposite roof. Lovely shops and the coloured houses just round the corner. it was quiet at night, the rooms had good double glazing.Some people on right of house heard the 4.30am call to prayer from nearby mosque, so take ear plugs if a lighter sleeper. It was the best Airbnb ever!

I just want to say how safe we felt not just because the building has multiple security doors but how consistent he was communicating with us and any problem we had. The apartment had a good enough room. Kitchen, living room, dining area, 2 bed rooms and pull out couch. The area was very welcoming and safe.

Overall the stay was pretty good. Spacious and felt very homey. There are several restaurants and even grocery stores at the base of the apartment which is very convenient as well as the metro not being too far either. The only frustration I had was with the card keys to enter the condo which would work inconsistently. But the security at the entrance gates always helpful.

I had a great stay in Istanbul! The apartment was as described, clean and well located. There was a small problem at check-in, but the host responded quickly and resolved everything easily. It was also particularly nice that we were allowed to do a late check-out – that was very convenient. Overall, I am very satisfied and would definitely recommend the place!

Love the apartment. Simple and clean. We came from Singapore to attend my sister in law’s wedding. The accomodation was close to my husband’s family, his parents and siblings. Many food and cafe options around. Can be pretty noisy as its located along the streets but it didn’t bother us at all. Overall, we were really happy to stay here. Thank you Tugrul Bey for a good job with the accomodation and for always being responsive to our chats.

Absolutely amazing stay in Istanbul! The Airbnb was spotless, stylish, and perfectly located. The host was truly the best, super friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond by sharing great local recommendations. Entry was a breeze thanks to clear instructions and helpful pictures. I felt right at home. Nagehan was an excellent host and I would 100% stay here again!

Great detailed thinking, we stayed for a week and they thought about every single thing that anybody needed to stay. We saw comments about insect issues but faced nothing. Thanks for the cozy vibe.

during checkin..its seem like dull neighbourhood..but day after tours around istanbul. now i realised this apartment is actually peaceful neighbourhood and really great place to stay after tired. Btw, the highlight of this apartment is: -2min walk to tram yusufpasa -1min walk to bustop -1min walk to various atm -some restaurants downstairs -5min walk to convenience store the house itself - spacious - bright vibe - tiptop clean - well maintained - enough silverware to cook yourself - feel like own home the host - super responsive - no problem with english - warm welcoming by his father even though not really into english speaking but we got his point. if i need to describe in 2 words about this apartment is " convenience location"

This was a very good trip Much better than my last trip to turkey thanks to the house, the house was very clean and exactly like the pictures, everything was as described and the owner was very good at communicating with me and checking up on things.

One of the places I can always go with the comfort of your own home, with its magnificent view and location. I highly recommend it.

Furkan was very friendly and responsive. He helped me a lot through the whole stay. I had a nice and cozy stay, the place felt like home.

We did not have any problems during the stay. The house was as in the photos. It was really good in terms of transportation. The subway is right at the bottom. There are Migrosjet, pharmacy, Starbucks, etc. around. Everything was as described.
