The apartment was clean,the host was helpful and kind, and the location is wonderful for your trip to Balat! The apartment had what we needed such as hair dryer, washing machine, refrigerator , AC wall units, tea pot, coffee pot for brewing a delicious cup of Turkish coffee which we had the pleasure of enjoying with the host who was a lovely ambassador for the people of Türkiye. There are lovely tea/pastry shops around, fresh juice, small convenience stores as well as some restaurants in the area. Do yourself a favor and ask the host for a little tour of the area. She’ll take you to the best tea shop with the best pastries. I definitely would come back and stay here.

We had a great stay! The location in Balat is very nice — full of charm and character. All major sightseeing spots in Istanbul are easily reachable within about 20 minutes by tram. The apartment is beautifully renovated and feels very safe, especially with a police station nearby. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the terrace and taking in the lovely Istanbul weather. Highly recommend!

I thank Ms. Aylin very much, she welcomed me very well. The location of the house is 2 minutes away from Yenimahalle Marmaraya. The house is very clean and modern. All the electronics work and are useful. I would love to come back

The place exactly matched the description in the beautiful neighborhood of Balat. Walkable distance to restaurants and cafes. Lots of colorful houses and shopping stores. My partner and I had a very good stay at this flat! The place is well-equipped with plenty of amenities—there's a lovely swimming pool, a gym, and even shops within the complex. The internet connection was excellent, allowing us to easily work online, hold meetings, and handle downloads and uploads without any issues. We did encounter a couple of small issues. On our first night, we weren’t informed about the access card required to move around the complex, which left us a bit stuck until someone kindly helped us out. Additionally, there was a minor issue with the toilet, but the host was responsive and came over almost immediately to fix it, which we really appreciated. Despite these hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great place with fantastic amenities!

It was spotless and very beautiful

The rooms were no different from the photos. The cleanliness and order was close to impeccable. It would be better to have things like slow internet, napkins,garbage bags, etc. Rare places where you can stay quietly in the middle of Istanbul with peace of mind.

I had a great stay at Çiğdem’s place! The location is perfect—just steps from the tramway and close to many major attractions, restaurants, and shops. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Çiğdem was very responsive and helpful throughout my stay. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Istanbul!

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment was spotless and fully equipped with everything we needed—soap, shampoo, body wash, towels, and even a cozy plaid blanket. It felt warm and welcoming, truly like a home away from home. Ayse was incredibly kind and helpful—honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever met someone this nice! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. She responded to all my questions almost instantly and always with such compassion. She even arranged an early check-in for us because we had an early flight, which we really appreciated. We absolutely loved the apartment, its vibe, and of course, its amazing host. One small note: since the house is located in a residential neighborhood, parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s manageable. Highly recommend—thank you again, Ayse!

This apartment is in a fantastic location if you’re staying in Istanbul. There’s lots to do close by and all the great mosques are within walking distance. There’s a few famous restaurants also within great walking distance. The host is a very kind man, who is extremely responsive and always on hand if you need anything. He even offered to give us a lift and show us around if necessary. The apartment is exactly as described and perfectly suitable for anyone looking for a stay which is central to Istanbul and looking to keep those taxi costs low.

Amazing spacious apartment which looks even bigger than on photos. I was staying for 8 days with my mother and brother and we had a lot of private space for each of us. Another great thing is - kitchen with complete set of everything you might need, including a machine for Turkish coffee with authentic coffee cups. As for the neighborhood, you can find lot of non-touristic stores and cafes with reasonable prices(sometimes 5x cheaper than in center). Moreover there is a big outlet shopping center across the street with a supermarket on the ground floor. Apartment is not super close to center but tram and metro stations are both 15 mins walk away, so we found moving around Istanbul petty easy. Elbrus is a great responsive host and I would definitely recommend staying at his place!
